I'm in the same boat.

I only have the option to register an account, not apply for one. Even going through registration with my Barclaycard details reveals...a page with all my Barclaycard details and nothing else other than the option to apply for a loan....

HI.

They have fixed it now.  When you open APP, there is a new button "I'm new to Barclays"  It wasn't there last night so maybe doing updates (overloaded by applications from members of MSE!!!!)

So I closed my account four months ago would I be able to get this offer?

App working for me, but has decided, despite being at the same address for 23 years, that it can't verify me and/or my address and demands a branch appointment!

gutted it's only new customers, not 1st time switchers. Barclays has been my main account for 35 years.

Providing that you still don't have an account with them you will qualify.

Hi everyone I have set up 2 direct debit on my dummy account .Do I need to wait direct debit till the money is deducted ? Or I can apply switch immediately to Barclay.Please let me know. Thanks

If you have already set them up, then they are active direct debits, so you don't need to wait until any money is deducted.

Not at all.  They've run Double Blue Rewards promotions in the past for customers switching to them.  If you switched to a Premier Account you got Triple Blue Rewards.  That might not sound much now, but back in 2018 when I joined Barclays, the Blue Rewards were more lucrative, and the money earnt over the year was easily as much as the one-off switching bonuses paid by other banks.

The following year, they ran the same promotion again, and it was open to existing customers too, so I got another year of Double Blue Rewards.

That's right. I racked up over £1,000 with those triple blue rewards offers since 2018. My mortgage is also with them and the reward was £36 per month for 2 years or so. Doubt they'll bring it back for existing customers
