Just opened the account… will my Barclaycard credit cards integrate automatically, do I add them manually somehow, or do I have to keep them in separate app ? ( for clarification I’ve had Barclaycard credit cards for years but never had a Barclays Bank account until now).

Just gotta sort out a donor account and a couple of DDs now….

My ancient Barclaycard did appear in the app as if by magic. They do take a few days for everything to settle in.

You’ve got until 30th Nov 23 to START the switch so next week is fine as long as you are meeting other criteria

On Blue Rewards, can somebody remind me again on how to waive the fees and what needs to be done? I remember vaguely two DD (switch requirement anyhow) and as others wrote £800 monthly pay in. Can someone confirm please?

That's it, 2DDs and min £800 into the current acct each month.

They charge you £5 in the current acct on the 2nd working day of a month, usually sometime in the afternoon. Around the same time, they credit your Rewards Wallet with a fiver (or more if you have their mortgage) if you have the 2 DDs and deposited £800. You have to move the reward fiver manually to the current account.

The Blue Rewards cashback offer looks a bit naff for most people as there is only a very limited list of retailers which pay cashback. It's good, however, for the limited time 5% offer, from which you can make a tenner a month in November and December if you can spend £200 with your debit card on genuine purchases. So another max £20 possible.

Did you guys apply in the APP?  I downloaded it but for me to register it wants me to tell it what Barclays product I have.  The T&C's say
    • Open a sole Barclays Bank Account in the app and join Barclays Blue Rewards
The only way I could possible apply is via the website but that would exclude me from the £175.  Or am I missing something?  Odd.

    I'm in the same boat.

I only have the option to register an account, not apply for one. Even going through registration with my Barclaycard details reveals...a page with all my Barclaycard details and nothing else other than the option to apply for a loan....

Doesn't work for us either, I imagine it's not ready to go yet, Barclays are a bit rubbish like that.

Weird…. Worked just fine for me…. Have to use the Barclays ( as opposed to Barclaycard ) app though.

This is good timing as I received my switch incentive from Nationwide last week. I wanted to keep ny 8% regular saver with them, so I opened another current acc with them yesterday, then I applied and was instantly accepted for a Barclays account. Then this morning my new Nationwide acc appeared in the app so I have just started the switch of the older Nationwide acc with the 2 dd’s on it from within the Barclays app. I also registered for the Blue Rewards
