£800 deposited and now it’s stuck. I’ve waited all day and the transaction has not gone through. Why is it the banks that we seem to 'trust' more are the worst!

I don't know! I must of read it somewhere.

I have today activated a switch but not deposited £800 as I haven't seen that condition

Ah ha the the £800 is to qualify for the blue rewards not part of the £175 incentive conditions

Has anyone apart from Andy found out if the switch bonus will be paid to those who had an account before the date and closed it - and now this is new?

Theres gonna be a ton of people here and other places disappointed if you can’t have had a Barclays account ever in your life.

The £800 is a requisite for Blue rewards, pay in that have +2 DDs (which you're switching anyway) to get a 'refund' of the £5 charge for Blue Rewards

I’ve just applied and now trying to set up the switch but I get an error message. “Sorry the switch cannot be done at this time”. Do you have to wait a while before initiating the switch?

Seems an ambiguous complicated switch this one. I'd originally overlooked it because I'd read that you can't have EVER had a Barclays current account, similar to 1st Direct but now I read on here that basically if you didn't have an account open on the 1st November you can get the bonus even if you closed a previous account on say 30th October? Anyone got a definitive answer on this as we both had current accounts that were switched out a couple of years ago? Don't want to go through all the hoops only to not get the bonus. Cheers all.
