Hi all, hope  you're as well as you can be. Still potting away but not as much as I would like DD1 is in hospital with a suspected heart attack, What a family - just get one well and another goes down!! I'm not very mobile so it's taxis when no one offers (won't ask) to take me and that's around £25 per visit. Hope she appreciates this!!!!!
Oh my word Lucy? 😯 Let's hope it's not what it's supposed to be!!
How ironic with hubby last year!
I quite understand with you not being mobile, but we both know that's not your fault; why ever not ask one of the others, those taxi costs are a colossal cost! It would be better for you to ask a member of the family every time, if it's possible, then when DD1's ok, pay whoever's
taken you a 'thank you' sum!
I hope you're relatively ok Lucy? Take great care of yourself and I'll be in touch soon, but at present I've damaged my shoulder doing my Pulmonary Rehab exercises for copd. xx

Enjoy Friday and possibly a wonderful weekend folks!

    Sue

So sorry about your DD @lucyhope, I do hope she recovers soon. I agree with Sue, just ask the family and give them something towards petrol. Most people are happy to help but don't always consider that you may need/want it.

Take care of yourself @Sue-UU 💕

Thank you all for your good wishes, DD2 and S-I-L both work full time and my brother -the only one available during the day is the 'go to' person who's asked every time someone can't drive anywhere and he's not too well himself, also I don't think it's fair to keep asking him especially as he won't take anything for fuel and he's the most difficult person ever to buy something for!!! Just keep swimming is my motto for the moment lol

Evening all.  Hope all are well.

How is it March already?  I'm sorry I always come back after ages with the same statement!

Last Sunday would have been the birthday of my friend who died in September, so the beginning of the week was a bit rubbish.  We have moved from one dept to another at work, prompting a random meeting getting dropped into our calendars which ultimately could've been an email or - seeing as we were all on campus - an in-person meeting.  It sounded way more serious than it turned out to be, and no sooner had that ended than we got a message to say we'd had the Ofsted call (that we've been waiting for for 3 years) so at the moment we're back at the office full-time for the first time in 4 years!  Bizarre.  And tiring.  Me and my team leader didn't leave on Thursday till 7.45pm (and she said I could call it 8pm as I gave her a lift home and she was working in the car making notes for the following day

Saving wise - Plum is still climbing but we did have to buy a new washing machine last month.  The other one went bang, sort-of, and fused itself into the plug socket so it took 10 days for the HA to sort that out before we could buy the replacement. I now have a machine that sends me notifications to tell me its finished and I can control from my phone.  Chase are changing their cashback rules so I will close those accounts once I get my round-ups/rewards paid in April.

Not great for moneysaving, but I've got a very busy few weeks up to the end of April.  DH and I are going away with the dog for a few nights in the run-up to Easter - we had a weekend away at the beginning of last month to join his family for one of their twice-yearly cousins' get-togethers but as lovely as they are, family isn't a break.  At the end of April I'm going away with my 2 work wives for a weekend, to the seaside.  And in between now and that weekend, I'm out - I think - at least once every week

Love and light to all x

A very happy Monday, folks, and I hope you had a wonderful weekend and will enjoy the new week.
For any members who are feeling poorly or low in spirits, do get well soon. Love from us all. 3

Very many thanks Siju, I'm taking great care, but also trying to keep it as subtle as possible 😀 I managed to get T to C&P the top and bottom greetings parts from the previous page, bless him. 😊

Excellent potting through more surveys LMD! 😊

I quite understand what you mean, especially about you poor brother, poor chap Lucy! Have you heard anything more about how your DD1 is getting on? I really hope by now they've found out whether the problem is due to her heart or something else, the latter I sincerely hope.
Take care and I really hope your DD is so very much better. xx

Hello MrsShazbat, I understand you, but March so has come in like a Lion weather wise! 😡 Let's hope it soon tiptoes into being a Lamb.
That's the problems with deaths, sadly, they're bad enough as it is, but birthdays, anniversaries etc make grief even more than it was before. 😔
It sounds as though work could be made far easier if things were made far better by the powers that be.
Good of your team leader and all the best with Ofsted!

Very good with Plum, but not so with Chase! Our microwave started to peel at the floor of it, our DDs too, so we've both got replacements, though washing machines are a lot more expensive!
I'm pleased you've both been able to have a break away and let's hope the family break isn't too exhausting for you.
    You both take care xx

£10 transferred from bank account to SPC account!! Not great these days, but I'm still pleased with it

It's an awful afternoon down here, very strong wind and now tipping down!

Enjoy today & Tuesday the week ahead folks!

Morning, I have potted £30 this month so far.  I have to pop into town at lunch so hope to visit the one and only cash point left and hope it’s working.  My son is 11 on Sunday!  Got a cake to make, just a chocolate “piñata” cake so I hope he’s not disappointed it’s fairly plain but I just don’t have time for anything more creative.  I’ve opened him a Rooster account (as a birthday gift) and added a rather massive chore list for him to start earning pocket money 🤣. At the moment I’ve bribed him with a pizza out in a restaurant if his behaviour improves, let’s see if he can make it to Saturday!  Winston has settled down really well and now sleeps through the night on his own downstairs.  I’m supposed to be going into the office for the morning tomorrow which I’m a bit worried about.  We have left him for about 90 mins and he’s been ok but I’ll be out for 4.5 hours 🤞

Happy birthday to your son on Sunday @Hettyhound, I'm sure he'll love his birthday cake 🎂

Well done to your DH for mastering cut and paste @Sue-UU 👏 we sometimes forget how difficult these tasks were when we started out using them.

A busy week for us this week as we are out Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at various events. Luckily, they are all bring your own nibbles/drinks so won't cost an arm and a leg. I'm going to need a lie in on Sunday though! Another £5 and some change into my pot. Enjoy your week, hopefully we are in for a dry spell xx
