    Oh wow I've been MIA for so long and the date completely passed me by - ironically as it's my wedding anniversary!!

    Hi, I've fallen off the wagon a bit this year.  I've just emptied the pot - £1.81 (hangs head in shame) with a further £36.36 I can definitely identify as going into the holiday pot, so £38.17 in total.  To be fair on me, I've had a crap year - son has returned after breaking up with partner and my house has been turned upside down accommodating his stuff and his pets, two snakes and a tortoise.  And then my mother died in September, and I'm still dealing with the fallout with that. And one of my besties has ended up in hospital for heart problems not once but twice this year.  I'm feeling a little bit frazzled!  

    Still something is better than nothing at all.  At least Madlyn can take comfort from the fact that there is someone worse than her!

    Oh you've had some very bad luck this year Capricorn Lass, especially with the recent loss of your dear mother, so very sorry for you, and condolences to all your loved ones. 
    Very best wishes to your friend who's in hospital for the second time with heart problems. Very best wishes to her for very good health and a very healthy recovery. ❤️

    More bad luck with your son and his partner having broken up and him returning home to you complete with snakes and tortoise, make great sure that its he who takes great care of them all!!

    Your right in that you've had a rotten year all round. 
    I know you've only potted £38.17, but at least that was money saved, rather than wasted. So, as I said to madlyn, be proud of yourself and happy that you have at least managed to save! 
    Be kind to yourself.
    BTW, the Declaration Date for 2025 is the 23rd of October... earlier if you wish, but NO LATER!!!
