HWBY said:I opened both accounts last week but had been waiting for payday to deposit the funds and make the card purchases. Just saw that the offer's been pulled - anyone know if I'm still eligible since I opened the accounts before the pull, or am I out of luck because I didn't meet the requirements in time?
You're still eligible. As long as you applied before the cut-off date then you're eligible for the offer. (read it somewhere on MSE).
Edit:Quoted from MSE website:
"URGENT UPDATE - THIS CLOSES 11.59PM MONDAY (6th Nov)
However as long as you do the HSBC application before then, even if you don't get the account open until later, you're still eligible for the free cash."0 -

I'm in a similar position. I applied for the Premier account on the 27th, on the 30th they requested my recent bank statement and 3 payslips and I've not heard anything since
Posting here must have prompted them, just this minute receieved my acceptance email

Bad news:I didn't receive my card. It seems it went to an incorrect address (the address showing in my account did not match the PAF entry for my postcode. The postcode and number was correct. it's a subtle variation, but a valid address.Since the resolved address was NOT what PAF lookup gives I think they're to blame. I'm sure the data on the form was correct, but the way they handled the first/second line resulted in the bad address (I've had this with morgan stanley before, though almost every other org gets it correct)Called HSBC. Not yet persuaded them to give me the £10 for late card, but will try later. They've arranged for a new card (after address corrected) but now will only send it to a branch - that old fashioned thing.. so maybe I'll pick it up at some point in the next few weeks - painGood news:- The agent I spoke to was very very helpful, and talked me through everything. reminding me about the offer, getting me setup with online banking, so I can start using the a/c. It took a while, but with a good end result- the app makes it easy to add cards to apple pay on phone/watch - which is how I always use them anyway, so I should be able to start spending- I was able to immediately open a global money a/c ready for 'part 2'Two questions- From the T&C it only says I need to deposit £1500 into my account. It doesn't say I can't take it out again after (which I've done) - fair interpretation?- I have to 'make at least 5 HSBC debit card payments transactions from your eligible account' - I *presume* that apple pay qualifies as a direct card payment?I also note it's clear the first stage must be completed/paid before you can qualify for part 2, so set reminders for that once I've done some spending/qualification!Finally- wish the banking app had dark mode...- though notifications are enabled, for all payments I'm yet to see any for transactions (quite different to monzo/starling which I'm used to....). The app/screen does warn it can take 1-2 weeks to be effective (from memory) - yikes! What goes around - comes around

Hi,My wife applied on Friday 3rd November. She received a text saying it may take up to 10 days to do important checks and two more texts on Sunday 5th explaining being reviewed and how busy they were. No emails. I guess as she is still within the 10 day period, she should sit tight.Cheers,TEI came, I saw, I saved.

MeteredOut said:I've had 2 "welcome to your HSBC UK Advance Bank Account" emails, the first on 27/10, a day or so after applying, and the same one on 4/11. Each stated what would happen over the following 7 days. I've received my card and PIN (a little worryingly, due to our local mail delivery doing delay-and-bulk deliveries, they both came arrived on the same day) but I've nothing specific (as of yet) regarding my sort code and account number (though these are on the card) or telephone banking details.0

I applied before the deadline, have jumped through all the initial hoops for the first tranche of cash (I think) just waiting for it to hit my account.Does the main part of the MSE website archive the offer as I was keeping that handy to see make sure I fulfil all the steps to qualify? Thanks. To answer myself - there this thread in which someone has posted a link to the T&Cs for this offer which includes all the necessary steps:but I would also echo what others have said, that MSE should archive their summary of the offer details after the offer expires as it's a useful reference.
