I got mine last week, several weeks after the account was opened.
  • Yeah my telephone banking security number arrived in yesterday's post. Account was opened on 19th November, and I have been using it since then. Just going to bin the letter as I don't need it. More on my mind is no £125 yet, although I completed the tasks on 23rd Nov... Hopefully should arrive soon.
  • I received the telephone banking number within a day of receiving the card itself. Do people still do phone banking?

It did say you'd need it to register for mobile banking, but you don't.

Wee update..no email yet , but they have texted..
...."Great news! Your HSBC account is open, your card and PIN are on their way. If you're new to HSBC, you'll also get a telephone banking security number. You can use this, along with your sort code and account number, to register for mobile and online banking."

Stage 1 feels like its done...
Do they send out the telephone banking code? Had the card and account details but no tele banking security number.
hi @ytfcmad - it arrived several weeks after the account was opened.
