It's helpful of him to make sure you don't feel anything but utter relief when he leaves. Tell him you'll be calling the police if he doesn't go away and stay away, so far we've got threatening behaviour, domestic financial abuse, and blackmail, if he'd like to add trespass that's up to him6

You're right @PennysIntoPounds - a few months ago I was completely heart broken so definitely feel much stronger now.
It was also helpful of him to put in a text "it might not be a lot but I contributed a bit"... thereby effectively admitting it wasn't proportionate!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)3 -
Send that text to a friend or legal colleague in case anything happens to your phone!
You're doing so well and we're all rooting for you1 -
Good idea @PennysIntoPounds!
I'm feeling quite chirpy this morning despite getting the silent treatment at home - which is actually just making me chuckle!
Last night I popped into my friends to drop a present in - ended up having a slice of pizza whilst I was there. Which was good as I then ended up playing an earlier game of netball so didn't have time for any proper dinner! I managed to scrape together enough change in my purse to cover the £5 for the extra game. That then meant I was out of the house for most of the night which suits me fine! I also got player of the match for the first game and scored a goal in the second... except I'm not allowed to score and so it didn't count!!! Made everyone laugh though!
Today's bits and bobs...- Have a look on Amaz0n if a couple of things I want have been reduced in the sales - bosses gave me a £100 gift card for my birthday so will use that when I buy them
- Make a start on December budget - partially doing it now so that I remember to take out the line for the yarn sub now that its cancelled. I cancelled online but sent the dyer an email saying how much I've loved it and it purely comes down to finances, as I appreciate she is a small business
- Message person again re yarn advent swap - I don't have their address and don't want to have to end up sending it first class!
- I'll probably have cold fajitas for dinner tonight - I cooked it on Monday but then didn't eat any! I had it cold on Tuesday and then anything I don't eat tonight I will portion up and freeze
- Netball again tonight - will just stick to the one game though as that one is already budgeted for
- Hopefully will be a NSD! (I'm also counting yesterday as a NSD as the change was from last month's budget!)

@twiggy86 - Yes, the best thing about being subject to the 'silent treatment' in any walk of life, is to blithely ignore it & be deliberately positive & cheerful - that way the giver doesn't even have the satisfaction of seeing he's riled you up or to play the martyr card, so has effectively devoted all his/her personal energies to being silent & sulky for nothing.

Thank you for popping over to my diary, do be a regular visitor if you have time and inclination!
You sound like you've had a brilliant time doing your own life in restricted circumstances, I'm so happy in advance for how happy you're going to be once this ex nonsense is sorted out. Not long now, keep being strong and doing your thing x2 -
We won at netball last night!!! I particularly wanted to win that game as there is one player on the other team who isn't very nice and says things about my team during the game! Even one of her teammates told her to be quiet at one point last night! I hate bad sportsmanship as it's only a social league so meant to be fun!
Today's bits and bobs:- Wearing a dress today that I got for 50p! Plus DrM boots that I got for £25 which are basically brand new except some damage to the heel (hardly noticeable) but are £190 brand new!!!
- Look online at a new tortoise light - the switch has just broken on mine and whilst I can turn it on and off at the wall, I'm concerned that the wiring has gone faulty (had it many years) so I want to replace it. May use boss' prime account to get it delivered free and quick! Money will come from the "pet pot"
- Pop left over fajita mix in freezer - forgot to do this last night!
- Finish packing up yarn advent so that I can post tomorrow
Not sure of my plans this weekend - depends what the atmosphere in the house is (the silent treatment is already over!) and whether or not he actually starts packing! So I may be pottering around the house or I may try make myself scarce! Not that I want to allow ex to make me feel uncomfortable in my own home, but also I don't want to spend a weekend feeling overly anxious if I can have some reprieve!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00

This includes replacing the shower (you have to run the sink tap to get consistent hot water in the shower)
If you have a combi-boiler it sounds like the flow turbine/divertor diaphragm are failing.1 -
You could of course have a girls night in & invite all the netballers (is that a word) round for a bring your own bottle party. If he is going to be funny I am sure they would sort him out.
