DW emptied and reloaded.. I have no idea who did it last but almost everything was still dirty!
Just updating my christmas list to see who is left to buy for. DS1 (trainers).. DS2 (need to check motherboard) .. Boog (headset).. Twinkle.. what on earth do you get number 12 when you are a hoarder and never get rid of anything so have everything? J, F, S, J, Harper, Books and Stocking fillers.. tubes of sweets for stockings and chocolate coins.. I got a big tub last year which worked a treat, I will look at those again. SIL because I don't want her to be without and I am nice to people when I shouldn't be!!! I know what she is getting though.
Headache eased a bit.. but now I just want a nap lol.
I may go knit something!!

It’s half term 👏👏👏👏
Uniforms in the wash, school bags emptied out and lunch bags cleaned. We are all in PJs, and the fire is lit. I will cook tea shortly then it’s very early nights xx9 -
Just popping by to say Hi, to offer hugs where needed. No flying, so if that breaks the forum rules, I will have to make it up. Whoops, I seem to do that a lot…
Just looked out the window and the moon is beautiful and full. I hope she is shining beautifully (do moons shine, I wonder? Or is there a better word? It’s been a long slog at the paid stuff this week so my brain cell is very tired) for all of you as well.
Half term just finishing here, so I am looking forward to traffic chaos resuming next week.
Back tomorrow with a proper list - warning, it will be a long list for this weekend, the house is a pit and the garden is a mess. I hate to think what the allotment is like.I need dinner. One cup of soup for lunch does not sustain this Flylady. And maybe a glass of Friday wine too.
Hugs to all x6 -
@ASB it was half-term this week for us. DGD is back at school next week. Strange how different counties have different times. Surely it should all be standardised by now? Though I suppose the hospitality industry likes it because their bookings are spread over two weeks rather than cramming everyone into one week's availability.
Towels and tea towels went on a hot wash and have now been TDd and put away. I can once again dry those bits that don't go in the DW...
DD et al picked me up and we went to the retail outlet but I was v. disappointed. The area which normally has stuff that I was thinking about buying with my voucher was full of Christmas trees and such-like. I'll have to go back in the new year when they've changed stock around again.
Had a lovely lunch at a restaurant I've never been to before. It's quite posh/exclusive and was frequented by Bentley driving, mainly older female clientele (we did quietly play 'is it a face lift or botox?') of the type who don't bother with parking in spaces in the car park, they are arrogant/entitled/rich enough to just park outside the front door on the side of the drive regardless. Either that, or it was their chauffeur's day off and they don't know how to park properly...
Food was delicious. Best of all, DD and her DP (who I didn't realise was going too, but it was lovely that he joined us - apparently it was a last minute day off decision - DS unable to make it due to work commitments) paid for it all. I had said it would be my treat, but they wouldn't hear of it.
Tomorrow I need to get more wood in for the fire as a minimum given the weather forecast!

Hallooooo my lovelies xx
Did someone mention it's Friyayyyyyy? And pay day? Woot woot.
Usual autopilot this morning. Paid stuff was OK. Nipped up to the hospital to renew my temporary parking permit- hopefully this one will not expire before my permanent permit arrives! Called at PO on my way home and paid the leccy bill. Then home, changed into my scruffs, put out the rubbish and recycling, had a coffee, cooked fish and chips in the oven - very good it was too. And I'm now flumped in front of the telly drooling over Mark Harmon.

I took asb's advice about listening to my body, which was telling me that it was tired and cold, and did not go to Action Heart this afternoon. Instead I drove to the big MrAl and did a full week's shop with what was left in my supermarket budget for October. It included a lot of the ingredients for mincemeat, puddings and fruit cakes - my DC have already given me their orders! Everything was put away within 15 minutes of my arriving home, and I used up the last little bits of broccoli, beans and carrots from last week's shop in tonight's meal.
DH has gone to war games this evening, and I am struggling to stay awake, so I don't think it will be very long before I head for my bed. See you tomorrow xxx

Soappie your lunch sounds lovely! And CofG hope you have had a rest after all that xASB you have got me sussed I had a "lie in" until 7.30am then worked from the sofa in my pj's with my hair like a birds nest until lunchtime. DH was home and feeling fed up because another lot of blood tests have come back negative meaning he is no nearer to find out what's wrong with him or getting any help, so I got a quick shower and we headed out. We had a wander around the out of town shopping place and tea at a chain pub on their Friday night two meals for £11.99 deal.
Not sure what the weekend will bring. There is flying to do and I am at my Saturday volunteering for a bit. I feel like i need a rest.
Oh DS is messaging asking what I am doing tomorrow afternoon, wonder what that's about.8 -

Oh DS is messaging asking what I am doing tomorrow afternoon, wonder what that's about.Thank you. Not exactly, but the only housework I did was to vac the sofa and wash and TD the table cloth I used for the lunch as well as the one (blue and white check) we have for everyday use. incidentally, the stain came out with Glow White, but the damask one came out with a slight blue tinge *sigh*. I thought about putting a colour catcher sheet in with them but as the other table cloth has been washed lots of times I didn't think it was necessary. I will have to re-wash the damask with another Glow White sachet and maybe some bleach for good measure.Other and than, I had a 2 and a half mile return walk to the shops this morning ('good' knee hurting by the end, which is a worry), went out with DH this afternoon on what turned out to be a wasted journey, and we got caught in the rain to boot, and did the usual meal preparation and washing up. I had two longish telephone conversations with friends, about nothing of any importance.8 -
