This morning I had something to do which was too far away to walk so I drove. On the way back I stopped off about half a mile from home to do buy a couple of things and then had a walk around the area to get some steps in. I then went home in time for a supermarket delivery. I arrived back 15 mins before the start of the delivery window and to my surprise found all the shopping piled up neatly in the corridor outside the front door of the flat, including a pineapple and a box of frozen battered cod!  They normally ring me if they want to deliver early but on this occasion they just turned up and DH had buzzed them in but wasn't able to decant the things into bags and bring them in so told the delivery drive just to leave them outside the front door. Fortunately they hadn't been there long.

After lunch whilst DH watched Testament of Youth on catch-up I walked to a shop a mile and a half away and then back again, so what with that, my steps this morning and pottering about the flat I'm well over my target.

Later we watched Strictly (I watch very little TV but I like this even though I feel I shouldn't) and recorded the last part so that we could have supper. For a change we were going to have sausages with a baked potato but I discovered the sausages were two days past their use-by date (probably would have been ok but I don't like to take any chances) so I had to make do and DH had bacon and eggs with the potato and I had a Quorn escalope.

Nearly time for bed but we get an extra hour tonight which is nice.

today i have taken 4 loperamide tablets and had 2 showers…that should be enough detail.  I’m rather uncomfortable right now.

But i’ve had a lovely afternoon/evening at my sisters

Oh dear - how horrible for you. I hope things settle down now.

Valli.. I hope things are soon less.. shower needing..

CoG .. I'd complain.. that is not good practice from the shop. They are supposed to bring shopping into the kitchen if a customer is unable to do so themselves.. definitely get on the complaints line!! They need to know these things to improve services for future and current users.

I am digging the loratidine out.. my face it itchy and my snoot snotty.. could be the chinese.. could be the face cream I have been using for months.. who knows .. or.. it could be the 'new to me' shirt I've been wearing all day..

No calls from DIL so we are assuming all is quiet on the eastern front (2 streets to the south east actually) .. so we are taking chances and heading to bed!

Cheese scones, and Horlicks for the WAC.. and chilled filtered water for the washing down of medication.. hugs for all. xx

Well that was a fun night.. Children out so looking forward to having a nice uninterruprted snooze.. we went to bed about 2.. and I have been up since 5.. however, the DW is on its first load, both WM's are on and Nutkin is screaming for his breakfast.. I am going to break the back of this infernal christmas shopping and take advantage of the lack of interruption with my cuppa and laptop..

I have a lovely headache again which is what initially woke me up.. then DD2 and GF got home.. loudly at 4:30.. then Moomin got home at 5 and I've been awake ever since.. I didn't do the antihistamines so the itching and snotting isn't helping the sleep situation.. hey-ho... no school tomorrow and with no children today I can always crawl in bed for a nap at some point.

Valli poor you, sounds very unpleasant, hope things are more settled today.

Didn't sleep well but not sure why.  I randomly took myself off for a 5k run at 4pm yesterday which should have tired me out but didn't.

Thanks for the suggestion about the blind Pigpen not sure I am clever enough to do that, might just see how it works as it is I can always change the blind later.  Hope the loratadine has worked.

Coffee time, might see if DSs washing is nearly dry and stuff some in the tumbler.

Stoopid clock changing malarkey. Why can't they leave things alone? 

Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed,  and had a brew. Completed Worldle and Wordle, caught up with thread and FB. Read the Strictly spoiler....shhhhh don't worry I won't tell. And I'll still watch tonight as I like to watch them pretending it's Sunday. Which it is, but it wasn't when they recorded that!
Slowly working my way through a pile of magazines to be read and recycled...the rack was starting to groan at the seams. 

Brew 2 is required.

well a settled night so that’s a plus.  It’s made me decide that when I go to The Deep and to see Peter Kay two days later i will not take the tablet that causes the issue, just like when I went to London.  I don’t always suffer the side effect but when I do waiting/queueing for a loo just is not an option.  Irritatingly I had taken loperamide before I drove down there and another before I drove back, so it shouldn’t have happened.  Lesson learned.  I drove more slowly than usual, too, because of the rain and surface water…had it been fine i’d have been safely back home.

Just calling in to let you all know I'll be flying later. Just sat with a three year old cuddled up on my knee. Nine visitors over the weekend! The two littlies we had earlier this year and last year, (great niece and great nephew) stayed here both nights in "their" bedroom. Niece and great niece, nine years old, stayed here Friday night, but in a hotel last night. Niece thought she might need some sleep before driving for five hours today. Sister in law, her husband, ( is he brother in law, or brother in law in law?) Nephew, his partner and the baby also stayed at the hotel. 

Saturday, nine year old niece and I made four huge pizzas and big trifle for lunch. Spent the rest of the weekend playing duplo. 

DD1, DS-i-L1 and their three children are away now until Friday or Saturday now. So very quiet week ahead, once all the visitors leave today. 

Of now, duplo helicopter has lost it's propeller! Back tomorrow, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx

Morning all,
Another night in the WAC. I should have read that there were cheese scones in the tin, as I would have been ferretting in there like a good ‘un.
Today’s plan is to carry on down my list. Admin is involved, so let’s guess just how successful that might be. I also need to venture into the loft to find some warmer clothes. Oh, and meal plan, how could I forget. Lots of spinach based meals coming up. Although I should go to the allotment, it rained so much yesterday afternoon, that it will doubtless be like a mud bath. That’s what I’m telling myself, anyway.
Brew 2 has slipped down without my noticing. It might be a 3 brew morning if anyone cares to join me.
