Cashback from Barclays blue?

I have had yet another frustrating exchange with several of their off shore call centre staff. Three of them involved in the latest conversation and not one could comprehend what I was asking.
A card purchase I made online had tracked in accordance with the retailer offer of 1%, yet does not appear to have tracked for the 5% and I wanted to know why.
Just kept getting the same cut and paste response that it can take up to 35 days to track. Well, it has already tracked! The amount credited is wrong though.
Gave up in the end. Life is too short and not desperate enough for this few quid to spend any more time on it.
It seems the account deposit circumvents work better than the actual debit card use it is trying to promote, from comments in this thread.1 -
Hand in a complaint and let them investigate, probably more profitable too.wiseonesomeofthetime said:I have had yet another frustrating exchange with several of their off shore call centre staff. Three of them involved in the latest conversation and not one could comprehend what I was asking.

Interesting..as it works as a debit card transaction for Halifax Rewards and you would think both would use the Merchant Category Code to determine whether it was an excluded transaction. Oh well it'll have to be the NS&I thenwiseonesomeofthetime said:YBS didn't track for me0 -
Interesting - I made a debit card transaction on 28th November which hasn't been included in the cashback claim that was generated on 5th December. I have previously discussed transaction time clearing with CS staff and was also quoted 35 dayswiseonesomeofthetime said:I have had yet another frustrating exchange with several of their off shore call centre staff. Where are you looking? Mine never showed as pending in the Rewards account but it did show in the statement on the external website, where I could immediately redeem itCuriousGirl said:
So did I but mine is not even showing. In November it was very quick so no idea what is going on.Stargunner said:
I made the same payment to NS&I on the 1st and the £10 cashback was showing today, It may of been there yesterday, but I didn't look. NS&I are so slow in allowing you to withdraw your money. Last month I had to wait a week before it showed being available to withdraw.friolento said:On December 1 (Friday), I deposited £200 into my NS&I Saver. I redeemed the £10 reward yesterday (Sunday), and have just now withdrawn the reward from my Barclays current account.Very smooth and very quick, thank you Barclays
.
I look forward to the next Rewards offer.1 -
So my November cashback moved to being available today, however I still only received £9.69 despite spending more than £200 on the card. As annoying as it is can’t be bothered to chase 31pmab3000 said:No idea what is going on with my cashback. Mine is still saying my pending cash back £9.69 despite spending over £200 early on in November. It’s not even rolled over into available cashback due to the new month. Not even sure if I make any transactions this month it’s gonna work.

No transaction is showing in the statement for December, not a sausage. Very odd.friolento said:

Has anyone had the 5% offer disappear from their cashback rewards page?
Mine is still showing, but my sister who joined in November had the offer and received her cashback for November but when checking this morning if her transactions for 1st December had tracked, noticed that the offer isn't now showing?0 -
Still showing in my account - and redeemed £10 cashback for December has hit my current account today.youngretired said:Has anyone had the 5% offer disappear from their cashback rewards page?

Odd indeed. If the money sits in your NS&I account and has left Barclays, the only logical explanation would be that Barclays have now added the NS&I merchant code to their exclusion list.
