Happy birthday Catowen, glad you had a fabulous day, you deserve to be spoilt!
Sorry I've not been around much lately, have been square eyed staring at the telly. I saw for the first time Anthea Turner's perfect housewife programme (what a load of cobblers!) and have watched some Location Location, which I love! Strictly Come Dancing is excellent and I was very pleased for Aleesha, she seems like a lovely genuine person.
My poor friend...oh dear oh dear. Her husband, being a bit of a twit, put their turkey in the garage overnight. And yes, you guessed it, the dog ate it. :rotfl::rotfl: Well, he only ate half of it, the rest has been well gnawed. The cats had a nibble too I think. So they have been busy giving themselves a headache trying to find a replacement. I think they might have to make do with a ham or something.
I was at wo*k on Saturday from 6.00am until 10.15am. It was chaos from about 7.30am. Queues were horrendous and it looked like a lot of the shelves had been stripped bare by the time I went home. It's silly really - of course there is only so much storage space out back, so it's literally impossible to keep up with such a surge in demand.
My Christmas tree went up at last. That took nearly five minutes - it's a fibre optic one, should have done it a fortnight ago... Maybe I'll do the big one for downstairs tomorrow after wo*k - the kitten will love it, so I'll have to isolate her from the front room.
Night all

Thanks for the warm welcome peeps.
I think out of all of you I have almost the least to do over Christmas. The joy of being at home for Christmas. All the neighbours will be over on Christmas morning for breakfast of either... bacon bagels, veggie or proper kedgere, then family over for Christmas lunch so lunch for 9.
The only thing I will be doing towards all of that is looking after my Midget ... not once will I be lifting a finger in the kitchen, although I suspect I will be. But I do intend to lie on my bed for an hour and a half with Midget when she goes for her afternoon kip... gets me away from the familyI saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -

Evening gang, hope this finds you all well, warm, happy, organised and calm!!! This is still not 100% but so far so good. I have done very little for Christmas just about posted my christmas cards(including the Irish and N.Z. ones:o Aw well:rotfl: at least you know its me and not a pod person!!!!) got DH a megre few pressies(he can't decide what he wants) wrapped them up today(didn't take TOO long:rotfl: )done the shopping and thats about it...... still trying to find out if we are doing the usual boxing day day at the rescue centre(they have had a change of managment committiee and they are very busy playing "being important" (politics) apparently "our application is being considered"
??????? normally we go and DH takes the dogs for a very quick toilet walk then cleans them out and feeds them. They then get a long walk each. Meanwhile, I normally clean amd give any medication to the poorlies and any kittens in the unit, feed them, then on to the other cats, check and feed the ferals. DH does the other small animals whilst i do the horses:j :j :j :j there are normally a couple of other really nice people that help. We then come home knackered but happy to the smell of the BM and a huge pot of soup. Am pretty fed up as if we are not needed Iam sure that there would be other organisations that could use another two pair of hands. We will see. Tomorrow going to do my annual bag a bargain madness(I go odd-yes even odder than normal:rotfl: )Tesco & ASDA watch out!!!! Hope that all the poorlies espically the littlies are feeling tons better.
