    ((((ssssshhhhh))) good morning all

Im so hung over - you would not believe. I didnt realise that last nights party was starting early, untill I got a "where are you" call. So I had to go earlier than planned. So after 9hrs of drinking, Im still here to tell the tale. It was a good night, and I needed it! I didnt throw up over my boss's new carpets as anticipated but another colleague's handbag got stuck on a kitchen cupboard handle and ripped it off the hinges! ooops!

OH is just off to tackle tesco now! I had every intensions to help him - but my eyes are struggling to focus! He is armed with a list so Im hoping he wont do an Amie's OH and forget everything but his stuff. Its only our usual weekly shop, and of course the veg for Xmas day, as Im not the one who goes over board!

Off to OH's parents house for an early Xmas dinner later with them and his grand parents. I just hope Im feeling up to it, otherwise, he can plate me a dinner up and send my apologies, or should that be the other way round? apologies 1st then dinner after :rotfl:

All housework got done yesterday, so at least I dont have to worry about that!

Amie - hope DD is feeling better soon. Think we will just have all butter croissants, or toast for b/fast on the day! Not very exciting but, I hope o have dinner around lunch time, instead of late on!
Same goes with other poorly kids out there, hope your better for the day!
Happy Birthday to Catowen - have a lovely day!
    ((hugs)) to Kyle and DS!
((hugs)) to moiliere also, hope your feeling better soon.

Right, Im going to try and make a cuppa without dropping the kettle this time.
    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

Back again - Dogrose you did well, didnt see anything for me and no jeans for ds - however I did order a steam generator iron for £50 reduced from £100 - have wanted one for a while but they were too expensive. I suppose its for me but not exactly a treat - oh well just imagining speeding through the ironing in 2008........(hmm - still not very likely)

I love steam generator irons. every penny spent on one is money well spent in my book! I had to buy a new one recently (used my christmas money) and it does make such a good job and so much faster. I bought mine in a the Tefal shop in McArthurglen that sell older models at much reduced prices, but with the same guarantee. I love it!

    Hello everyone,

    Happy Birthday Catowen.

How do you all know when people's birthdays are?

I still have my ironing to do as I didn't get round to it yesterday due to a combination of stinking cold/grumpy small child. I did manage to clean the kitchen thoroughly so I'm fairly pleased with that. I wasn't going to make any mince pies as there are only two of us, and we have the christmas cake, but I think I may have to make a few. They can always go in the freezer for another time.

Hugs to all the poorly people. Fingers crossed everyone is better soon, and nobody catches any more nasty bugs.

I've just got one E-g (reduced of course) and very pleased I am with it too. It does speed me up, and it less hard on the shoulder as you do not need to apply pressure, just pull the lever and blast the steam out. With the mountain I had to tackle, I had let some cotton bedding dry too much:o and were full of creases and it sorted them a treat.

Pen-Pen - I like Malibu with either pineapple juice or diet coke. If you get some in let us know - we'll be round :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am maybe one OS'er who has not turned to drink yet, had an odd martini well diluted with lemonade, but seem to have gone off drinking:eek:  . Loads in but keep going for the flavoured water. Think I had better get my head examined!:rotfl: :rotfl:

well we had a great time at winter wonderland very expensive though so didnt buy anything the man on the observation wheel counted the tickets wrong so we had 2 spare which i sold to some other people who were going on there as pre booked ones were cheaper so that paid for all the kids to have a go on the toboggan slide The German market was extortionate so just looked
Ice skating was ok all the kids took to it and so did our friend but OH me and our friends wife were in agony in the skates and couldnt let go of the side :rotfl:

Hugs to all those poorley ones or ones with sick kids, hope you all get better before the big event.
Catowen, Happy Birthday to you :T :T have a great day x

Got one lot of washing in machine, will hang it out as its bright and sunny today. Will have a quick tidy round this morning, DD is out with her dad, and OH and I will go walking, need to pop in my mums later to pick up my goose which has been in her freezer, and will cook my ham.

Was doing a roast beef for later, but have changed our minds, we will have loads of roasts over the next week, so we are having jacket spuds, ham cheese etc.

    Have good days all xx

Ageandjo, thanks for message re gammon, have not got an inch of space in fridge or freezer :rotfl: xx

Well, I suppose I'd better have my shower - after yesterday, I look about 190 years old and I need to look like my normal self or my Mum will worry about me and force me to eat, even when I'm not hungry! Knowing her, she'll bring the cod liver oil and malt extract with her and dose me up on them

Kathy :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

glad its not just me then, a few years back I phoned my mum to tell her i had been made redundant, she said 'oh my god...... have you eaten ?'
Bless them, I suppose we will be the same with our kids ?

Hope you feel better soon xx
