  • Hello

Well done everyone and congrats on reaching goal Brie.

I use ras el hanout as a dry rub and harissa in place of tomato paste in lots of things. I’d like to get back to enjoying soups, ate so much in my plant based years I really went off them.

    Weigh day +1lb please Brambling.

Needed a time out Saturday, stuck to food plan with a small wine all good then 🍹🍸🍹not so good. Managed to stay off the crisps and had too many salted peanuts instead. Was STS up till then, 1/2lb up Sunday not too bad considering and it was gone by Monday, back to STS Tuesday, now a whole pound up this morning! Apart from Saturday I’ve not deviated from the plan.

I don’t know what’s going on hope it is my body adjusting to being more active and not hormones causing havoc. I’m not going to lower my activity levels as I’m still trying to get back to the fitness level I was before I hurt my foot in 2021.

Wondering if I need a totally different plan so I’ll have a browse of books and see if anything sounds doable.

Can you blame your scales Ginger if they are fluctuating? I can sympathise on the lb gain as I also have one of those, but I know why!

You've reminded me Jules that my cat is due his flea dose, he's annoyed about the weather so I'll give him something else to sulk about tonight 🙂 I don't even you the clean up

  • Nice idea Brambling! I’ve checked and alas not.

I’ve looked at some of my posts from last year and I plateaued for awhile then. I’d forgotten and thought I’d never stalled doing low carb. Is interesting as I used to plateau from week 3 on low fat and it’s much later on low carb.

I’m increasing my macros just a little this week see if that helps.

Well done Flamingo  :) your hard work seems to be paying off

that's a shame Ginger, my first instance is if in doubt move the scales although these days with battery scales they are less lightly to change if on a noncarpet floor

Or put them on a floor with a thick carpet and I guarantee an immediate loss of about 30 - 40 pounds.  Works for me!!!  Hey maybe I should set up one of those "send me ££ and I'll tell you the secret of instant weight loss" websites!!!

Hi there, yes my long term target is to get back to 12st.
I was pretty much there for 12 months but over the last year I've piled it back on.

Lol!! I’ve given it a go and even that didn’t work. Tried on the bath mat then the thicker rug and the display switched itself off as soon as I stood on them. Maybe I need to invest in a proper carpet, it’s all wood or tiles here.
