Hurray! 4lbs down please according to the analogue scales @Brambling! I think most of it was water weight /debloating though. Let's see what my digital scales say next week 🤣 ;-)
My appetite seems to have realised I'm not on hols any more. Porridge or greek yogurt with nuts for breakfast. Homemade soup and pitta, with fruit for lunch. Calorie counted evening meal. 2 ltrs of squash a day. No snacks or booze. Managed my step goal and yoga most days.
I am looking forward to a family Sunday lunch with a large glass of wine though!
Hope you've all had good weeks.4 -
Hi, I have my starting point. I am 19 st 7.5lbs. I hesitate to share my starting point but I might as well be honest with myself and be accountable on here. My goal bewtween now and Christmas will be to lose 7lbs.

No change this week for me, easy to see why.
Not ate brilliantly and haven't exercised enough, partly due to work shifts being changed........but I still could have done more. Onwards and downwards!5 -

Wow well done Pixie 👏👏
Bazzalona a maintain is better than a gain 😁
Allie well done on braving the scales and putting it in writing, can I suggest you measure yourself as well I find the weeks where the lbs are reluctant to drop off you can often see the inches/ centimetres disappear 🙂 good luck we are all here to support youLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
Thanks @Brambling, I will do that later today. I am off out for a drive with OH today - up through the hills and then to a wee pub for Sunday dinner. Then down to my sister's tonight for her birthday, there will be cake! Once I am home I will measure myself as another way to track progress.2

well, stayed the same this week... although I did eat my own bodyweight in pizza midweek which I do not feel even slightly guilty for!! (I promised myself a 'cheat' meal for my birthday back in April but didnt fancy it so this is my first cheat since before then!).
Honestly Im just stuck on the mother of all plateaus at the moment. If you dont count the ups and downs Ive lost 1 Ib in the last 2 months.Despite regular exercise and eating healthy (tried everything from 1500 to 1900 cals a day), still nothing.
Only thing I can figure is its stress and lack of sleep. Ive had lots of workmen round lately to do stuff and my social anxiety is off the charts as a result, also had constant toothache for weeks that is keeping me awake. Not to mention feeling generally down and depressed with the darker months.
But.....Im not going back to eating junk! So if the best I can do is hibernate for the winter, stay the same weight and eat well, then I will still consider that a win!5 -
@catz4m8z lack of sleep and ongoing stress can absolutely affect your body and weightloss.
Is your building work due to be finished soon and/or are you able to go to the dentist? Because it sounds like you have additional obstacles on your path 😔3 -
Unfortunately the building works is something that is going to be ongoing for a few years (with big gaps for me to save in between!) and the dentist couldnt do much about the toothache.
ah well.....life happens, doesnt it!?
TBH Ive lost all the weight twice before in my life and the minute I had any disruption or change to routine I just put it all back on again. So continuing to eat healthy and not undoing all my progress is a goal in itself!4 -
