Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 4th Quarter 2023

Managed a 1lb loss please @Brambling :-) I've stuck to my daily calorie 'allowance' and met my daily step target.
I made a roasted spicy parsnip and sweet potato soup this week as I was using the oven anyway. It wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped, but nice and filling. I've still got sweet potatoes, parsnips and carrots to use up. I guess root veg and lentil soup is on the menu next week 😋 Or roast veg and halloumi salad or similar.
Hope you all have enjoyable weekends!3 -
1 lb off please slowly does it5

2.5 lb off for me, even with a holiday with 3 meals a day buffer style, and access to snacks. I did walk 33k steps one day and 28k steps another day thoughMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Well done Pixie, Cazann and flamingo 👏👏. Flamingo looks like you had a good holiday and wow on the walking that's a lot of steps
just had to remove the cat from laying across my bust I'm thinking if it can hold a 4.5kg cat maybe I need to get back on track for the dieting 🫣

First week in and 1.5kgs down to 104.5kgs.
Slightly misleading due to weigh in times but hopefully the start of consistent losses.
Last 2 days I've done more walking too, something I love but have let slip.
Thankyou for doing this 😀5 -
Lost 1 Ib this week. Hoping its not due my diet coz I stuck to my deficit most of the week and even dropped down to 1200 cals on 2 days (not deliberate!). I like my food too much to do that on the permanent!4

Hi folks, can I please join in? I've joined before, a long time ago but weight loss seems to be my nemesis and apparently the only way is up (for me anyhow) but looking to the future I want a happy, healthy and long retirement when it comes in 5 - 8 (hopefully) years time and I need to start working on the 'healthy' bit now. My weigh in day is a Friday so I will post a starting weight and goal for the rest of the quarter then.3

Welcome to the challenge Allie23 and good luck
well done Catz and Bazza for your losses 👏👏
I hope everyone has a good week I'm now off to freeze the half batch of scones I made earlier and have been munching my way through, the only good thing is as I've been eating them warm I've eaten them with no butter, cream or jam 🙄Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
Pleased to report a 1lb loss on this week's weigh in.
Also pleased that I have gone down a band size in bras, and I tried on a dress today that I haven't worn since before the pandemic and it fit 😄
I'm especially pleased with this because we had some bananas turning so we made them into a delicious banana bread on Friday that has already disappeared 🫣 but that was eaten between me and Mr Puppy, so I obviously did a good enough job of reining it in!3 -
2.5 LB Please Brambling. Think you had me down as 9.5 loss when it was 8.5, anyways 11 LB down so now playing for ice cream and gin for holidays, 5 weeks to go.
Hello to all the new members, well done for all the losses.
More clothing has been re-cycled, put aside for Ebay and cut for cleaning. Mr Pepper was sent to the spare room, thought I had one bag of coats / jackets from my slimmer days, turns out I also had a huge travel bag full of clothes, only thing I didn't find was swimwear to fit, bikini bottom saga continues.
Have a good week everyone.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538
