@grandmanerd, I hope you're feeling a bit brighter. Sometimes other people don't realise how their little actions (or inactions) can impact on others so much. Is there any way of changing how, who or where you get your prescriptions from? One mistake is one thing but multiple mistakes is not acceptable especially regarding medication.
@apple_muncher, i hope you're bruises aren't too bad. Now I remember why I avoid trying to keep fit. I joined Zumba Gold (for oldies) in March and so far I've given myself a trapped nerve in my arm and a varicose vein across my knee! Now I do what suits me and let the rest of the class shine.
@Toni'sfriend, fancy being an interesting and baffling woman!I hope they can get to the bottom of things soon and get you sorted out.
@f0xh0les, i hope the bike works for DS4! More fun than a diet, especially if his mates have bikes.
That sounds like an awful nightmare, @abundant1972! Let's hope tonight is more peaceful.
Got a tip run at very short notice (25 mins to put broken tv in car along with some ceramic plantpots for the recycling charity shop) and drive from our village to the nearest town. Must have been quiet because all the men were at home watching the Rugby! Anyway, it cleared a space of about 12 square inches! Start small, lol.
Rang my aunt who was recently widowed to see if she'd like to come up tonight to watch Strictly. She was having a very down day and crying a lot, i felt a bit useless. Her son was coming over to visit and do a few jobs for her so she didn't think she'd come. I was so pleased tonight when she turned up. It was nice to have her company and hopefully it made a change for her too. I walked her home but she was more worried about me then walking back on my own!
Cat-sitting 4 cats for next door over the weekend. They are so pleased to see me when I do their breakfast and dinner. It's nice to be wanted!
Mum had pegged one load of washing out and left one wet lot in the basket to peg out. Nothing would dry so tumbled all the towels and brought the rest in to dry in the kitchen. Expensive but necessary this once.
3 NSDs so far which is better than Sept.
Booked tickets for Christmas pantomime. Paid for 4 but will get money back for 2 on Tuesday from my friend. Also going to book tickets for mum and I to see Sweeney Todd the musical later this month.
Grateful for: some clutter leaving the house, spending time with my aunt, the cats thinking I'm their favourite person! X

I can see frost on the slate roofs opposite my house. Very exciting! It is cold outside - went to check on the washing (still wet) after I made bisc0ff buttercream icing for DS1s birfday chocolate cake. 3 layers filled and one on top and dotted with walnut halves, looks like a cats breakfast, tastes amazing. Totally not bothered. I would have made more effort if he had done anything he had been asked to do for the last. .... erm.... 18 months? Totally in a quandary over him and his attitude. But anyway ... all sorted before 8am and I am back on the sofa with a lovely coffee and nobody else is up.Off to plan my week - I am working away for a day but need to stay overnight, so that is 2 days really. It will more than pay for the bike though, before the bike pays for itself. Anyway, more coffee I think.. Happy Sunday!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thanks for all your sympathy. I tried to write it out several times and it just sounded like moaning. I do have the pills delivered abundant and the chemist is wonderful even though it's difficult to get through on the phone. I put the order in last Friday (6th) so that it would come during the week. The doctor's had it on Monday 9th as they issued the prescription for the tablet I received on Wednesday. I think they're trying to be 'efficient' but how can they not understand that it's much more efficient to issue one prescription for all the needed items. Never mind I'll write them an email and hope they put it on my notes.
I spent the morning on the couch (weak as a kitten) and came back upstairs when the laptop was fully charged (with easy peelers, long stem broccoli, dips and more drinks) and sat sewing (squirrel body completed but needed daylight to decide on the best colours for the tail) whilst watching a drama series. I unpacked my parcels as a lot needs wrapping (starting early because I had all sorts of ideas last year and then it came down to a 'We'll be at your house in under 15 minutes, the pub's squeezing us in early' and my throwing things into a bag. My wrapping paper order didn't come until early afternoon and DS3 said the 3 parcels delivered later were all for Beloved (one was mine but I only got to open it after I was ready to sleep)
I have some easy craft stuff to do too (sticking down some templates before I collapse under the drinks carton card - it's thin enough to cut easily but strong enough for multiple uses) and need to attempt to get the mess under control. Lots of boxes gone in the recycling over the last few days (and some were very very good boxes).
Grateful for being able to spend on a few 'extravagances' (papercraft items - including wrapping paper), good books, good series, happy sewing, my bed, the couch, the garden chairs in the the yard and other places I can sit down to do jobs or just to rest, the microwave for heating things up, veg and dips for no fuss meals.10 -
Completely forgotten how many NSDs this month. I think I might have to abandon keeping track.
So, I sent Himself to do the shopping yesterday. Wonder of wonders he stuck to the list. Whilst he was out I changed the bedding, did a washing and tidied up a bit. Got a bit of a row when he came back. Told to go and sit on my bottom and stop trying to be Wonderwoman. But I didn't waste my time. Whilst watching films on TV (oldies but goodies) I wrapped all the December gifts, chopped up fruit for the fridge and lots of vegetables for the freezer, grated cheese and put lots of things in containers.. That'll make things easier later on. And a lot of other bits and bobs that needed doing. I feel that I actually had a productive day and for once in ever so long I achieved something. Hope I can repeat the same today.
Getting a bit chilly here now.
Have a lovely Sunday. xxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Birfday Cake tastes amazing!! they all say it look good -possibly just in relation to some of the shockers I have created over the years...bit weirded out by the praise to be fair.DS1 is happy with his new phone, a few other bits, and a fern plant to look after. Going out for supper, so will be another spendy day. Still, your boy is not 21 every day, so worth celebrating.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy birthday to your DS @f0xh0les
Yesterday I was on call all day, did all our dinners and lunches for the week, then went to the gym for boxing class. Got on with a few more bits in the afternoon and then vegetated on the sofa with OH. Didn't get called in so went to bed at about 11.
Today I went to spin class and then to see my share horse, he's still recovering from injury so just a slow plod for the two of us today. Did a couple of small jobs but generally just chilled out.
Tomorrow is my non-working day, I had plans to go to a museum in London but really not sure I can be bothered tomorrow for whatever reason. Would rather go for a walk somewhere local instead so may do that.10 -
Wow, you've all had a very productive day!
Happy birthday @f0xh0les jnr. My DS3 was 15 today, must be a good day for birthdays! 😉 He was so excited, that he slept on the settee last night 😂
DH filmed him opening his things, whilst I was on the phone to the vet, trying to get an emergency appointment. Quickly got dressed & took one of the cats into town, then back again after paying the bill - ouch! Hopefully I can claim.1/3 of it back from the insi, but hanging fire in case we need to go in the next couple of days.
Had breakfast on my return, then hung the washing out. Took some lovely autumnal photos in the garden. Made the birthday cake after dinner (DS had requested a Victoria sponge, so not as fancy as yours @f0xh0les!). Did some filing on the bedroom, burnt lots of obsolete documents on the fire, then after tea I hooked more of my rug, whilst DS3 & friend went monster hunting in the dark!
Will have to get up earlier tomorrow, as have to give the cat his medication before whisking DS1 off to the airport (dropping DH at the hospital en route!).
Grateful for my family & their contagious excitement, the cat getting treated quickly, autumnal colours, the sun coming outUse it up, wear it out

Think I've overdone the fruit, most of the rest is downstairs (including half a soup and half a hot chocolate from yesterday). Yesterday was a quiet, mostly resting day. Went downstairs for the second time around 5 pm and di a little bit of wed clearing with secateurs, the hoe and a garden glove (not a lot of pulling thing up as I was frightened of falling out of the chair) to add to my earlier stint of pegging 3 things on the line. More rubbish picked up, including things in the back yard that were hidden/ obstructed by the tubes I moved on Friday. One box out, 3 more lined up (didn't know how much space there was.
Did some sewing in the afternoon (whilst watching a drama series) then switched to gluing templates onto thin firm card and cutting them out (some put to one side as they are double fronted). I have lots to do but don't have much energy so will concentrate on reducing (breaking down cardboard boxes, wrapping gifts and doing fancy bits, covering some useful boxes with paper (one older one is starting to go at the corners) transferring notes I need to keep.
My series has finished so I will watch something funny or comforting . I brought 3 unused notebooks upstairs yesterday evening (was saving them for best, which often means they end up in someone else's present pile) so will start some 'more permanent' lists and plan some projects. But first hot drinks and a shower/ wash and extra wipes.
Grateful for my bed, nearness to the bathroom, a bit of a plan (might collapse into eating, binge watching and naps), Sorry to be such a wuss.10 -
Good morning ⛅
Happy Birthday (belated) to your sons! Glad the cake was a success f0xh0les 🎂 I don't remember the last time I got excited about a birthday (I think I started trying to forget them post-30 lol)... I have ended up sleeping on the occasional couch (floor/bench/pavement haha) but that was usually *after* said birthday haha.
Had a nice day yesterday with my Dad. GP has asked him for bi-daily blood pressures for a week so showed him how to use the machine and written him out a little chart. I am not holding my breath. Attempts to teach him how to use the DVD player / washing machine / a mobile phone have all failed (with instructions written down haha). Visited Mum at the home, and got a few smiles, and sand a song together. No right hook this week lol. Felt a bit sad when we got back to my Dad's. His house (where I grew up in) looks a bit neglected now - and the garden my Mum loved so much is maintained, but I noticed her little ornaments knocked over, and birdhouse had fallen down. I can remember us filling up the bird bath and putting seeds out and hanging these little suet balls in the hedges - even when she started to lose her memory. Poor little things get nothing now. Maybe I will try and do a bit out there next week. At least I have lots of nice memories.
Bought a few bits at the supermarket afterwards, so will make every effort to make today a NSD.
Realised I haven't done yoga in 4 weeks and no gym for well over a week. Will try for another walk at least today as the sun is shining.
Today/Yesterday I am grateful for:
1) The home I grew up in - even if it isn't my home anymore.
2) The changeable weather - feels very Autumnal now 🍂🍁🍃
3) My own little apartment where I feel safe and sound
Yesterday was a spend day
Today = NSD number 6
Have a day everyone x
