Hello everyone, glad to read of the different birthday Celebrations this past weekend.
I had a mixed weekend, as Saturday morning I was feeling better than I had felt most week, so I was ready to get a few things done that I had neglected during the week, but then the day went differently, as I overestimated the amount of energy I had, so I retreated to the sofa and knitted and watched some cozy movies for the rest of the afternoon and evening. This worked, as yesterday I was finally feeling much better and felt like doing lots of stuff, so I started washing the Summer dresses so that I can put them all away for Winter nice and clean. My flat is now full of clothes hanging everywhere, as I ended up doing 3 full loads and there is barely any space left. Feeling good about it, though, as I only have a few darker coloured things left to wash and then I can properly do the "change of season" in my wardrobe (I live in a small flat so every year I have to put the "other season's" clothes in storage boxes at the bottom and top of my wardrobe to make space to the stuff I need, but it's always quite an endeavour). Can't wait to take out the Winter woollies, as the weather finally feels like I want to wear something warmer!
I also decided to deep clean (some) of the kitchen, and I cleaned the extractor fan, which was really greasy, and then decided to try a hack I saw on YouTube to clean the oven with bicarbonate of soda, and I was astonished! It cleaned really easily, and the oven is something I never clean because it takes me hours to do it, and it's so much effort. After this I felt very accomplished, which in turn made me feel better about the entire week just passed, because by Friday I was feeling very low and very overwhelmed about pretty much everything.
Then in the evening, OH and I brought the dog to the park to play a bit with the ball, and she was so excited to get there, that the walk was at a very brisk pace, a proper workout for me!
Today back to the work routine, however the day was fairly good. This week I am going to the office on Wednesday and Thursday, so tomorrow (for once) I'll be home. Today was a spendy day, as I had the chance to buy myself a camel coat at a reduced price, and considering I am putting out to sell 2 coats that don't fit me very well anymore, I did need something to replace them, so I did myself an early birthday present. Tomorrow should be a NSD, and then the rest of the week it will not be, so I have to be good for the rest of the month!
Today I am grateful for- A good night sleep

Never a wuss, Grandmanerd. You're my inspiration!
Ironing done, cards written, boxes in recycling and a few things used up from freezer for dinner. And a few stocking fillers ordered for Himself. Not a bad day. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Another vote for Not A Wuss!Just back from volunteering, and supermarket shopping (eurgh!) and DH is now cooking supper while I catch up with you lot - I had to do the washing up before he could cook ..... grrrr! I had done it all before breakfast because I was going to allow myself to have cake, but DS1 totalled the more than a quarter that was left overnight. I said rude words to myself and had bran flakes instead ( totally not a worthy substitute for chocolate layer cake with biscoff buttercream)Anyway, I am off to the wilds of North Manchestershire tomorrow, so need to pack my little overnight bag tonight so I can head off in the morning, have lunch with old friends in't Town Hall, and then meet up with 'the reprobates' in the hotel in the evening, if I can walk straight/find it/remember my own name by then So a lot of fun is going to be had. Very much looking forward to it, and I will be taking a big jumper and gloves.Today I managed to save over £3,500 on the cost of my roof.Oh, and the Heating is most definitely ON4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for spending the day companionably with dc - they have green snot and are feeling rough so we spent most of the day on my bed, for an easy tea, for putting right some defective robins and snowmen, for some washing half drying outside, for a few more rasps.

Non-working day today, got a couple of loads of washing on first thing and then did 45 minutes of yoga to stretch everything out as I was pretty sore this morning.
Hoovered, sorted the filing, got a shopping order sorted and then went to the dentist/hygienist so spends there. I bought lunch as my non-working day treat to myself, and also bought a few Xmas bits in town for other people. Ordered some stuff for the rabbits online ready for our holiday so they are fully stocked up! And I also ordered some protein.
Had lunch and then went for a lovely walk in the local countryside. Came home and played a couple of games, have had a bath and dinner and now just chilling. Got everything ready for work already so am good to go in the morning.10 -
Went downstairs gathered reheated half cups of soup and hot chocolate, a veg lasagne ready meal, drained tuna and put it in a box with a glug of cider vinegar, DS3 opened some jam for me, put extra drinks at the bottom of the bag and brought pickles upstairs for Beloved to open (DS3 didn't want to spill pickle juice all over himself). The paper crafts book due tomorrow was behind the door so put that in the bag as well.
My hair has needed washing for some days but didn't have the energy, so today I washed my hair sitting on a stool beside the bath and used baby wipes to clean myself very slowly and carefully. Will have my shower in a minute and settle down for the night. Found clean clothes to put on. Spritzed some perfume mid afternoon. I did consider going to do more outside but gave up once I tried standing up (will try again tomorrow - will at least gather up all the weeds I've done). Sewing and puzzling filled most of the day alongside watching the Jackson Brodie 'Case histories'
Grateful for supportive pillows, hot food and drinks, eye drops for my sore eyes, newly washed hair (very soft and floppy)10 -
Today I am grateful for sleeping well, for making dc some hand/wrist warmers with wool I already had (and from a Ch shop!), for making a scrummy bread and butter pudding in the slow cooker, for my lovely dentist and gum numbing injections, for half drying a load of whites outside.

Lots of sewing done (the squirrel now has a brilliant bushy tail and his plaque is completed, I finished the remainder of the bear's trees except for highlighted bits - like gentle dappling by the sun. Stopped because I was trying to put in 10 crosses in black against dark brown and there was not enough light). I have listened to a couple of decluttering videos and stuck down more templates, cut out loads of printed butterflies and I'm using up the remains of mum's envelope stash to separate and label them.
Finished off the tuna this morning but looked through my food bag and found pasta salad, cooked meat, raw mushrooms and a baby quiche.
Grateful for easy food, doing satisfying crafts and easy stuff, supportive pillows, pretty paper and card, the shower head to soothe my aching muscles and eye drops (and the liquid and my eye bath). Three bags of recycling out and lots of weeds and fallen leaves added to the green bin.9
