If anyone benefited from the bonus in October/Nov 2021 but still manages to bag this one, please let us know!
I would love to know this as well!
Annoyingly I switched September 2021 so just missed out on being eligible for this switch offer. Just wondering how strict they are...

Might have to look into the TSB switch instead, but the 8% regular saver on NW is tempting.
Give it a go. There are numerous examples on here of people who got incentives when they shouldn't have qualified for reasons of previous incentives.

If they deny you the incentive you will still get the current account plus the NW saver. It's no big sin applying! it's for them to determine your eligibility.
I don't think I have the time to do both TSB and Nationwide, so I might just have to do TSB as I'm more likely to actually get the switch offer there. :)

I'm sure going to give it try. It'll depend on how fast TSB pays it's incentive but the moment they do and NW hasn't pulled their offer i'm out of there

Another question. From the wording, do I have to already have 2 DD set up before I switch over to NW? The way it's worded it does seem that way

No idea. Even if there was a standard time length, banks cancel these offers anytime.
Ok, one more question, if I were to do what you suggested. Could I go around the houses and collect the incentives from First Direct etc. even though I got them already with my other bank account? Basically, I'm asking if they check i got previous incentives through my name or the account itself.
Sorry, not sure what you mean.

£200 bonus received from Nationwide yesterday.

Started the Switch on the 21st September, switch date 3rd October and bonus payment promptly paid in 3 days later.

    Target nearly met!

    Happy Days!

Aim: Be mortgage free at 50 years old - TARGET HIT 12TH OCTOBER!!
Current Status: Turned 50 in May 2023 - PAID OFF IN OCTOBER SO TARGET HIT!!

Money made from Bank Switching in 2023: £1,775 (target £1,600) - TARGET HIT!!
Money made for Mrs B via Bank Switching in 2023: £1,275 (target £1,250) - TARGET HIT!!
  • So ive requested a switch of my Starling account to the Flex Plus account we already had. It says to get the Bonus, you have to choose that you want the old account closed. I never saw that option so assume they meant just doing a full switch rather than partial one?

Didn't realise that with Starling it is easy to open a 2nd joint account and move my existing cards to that, so the old one with Direct debits will get the switch and £200 bonus.

If all goes to plan, I'll have managed £1850 this year in bank switching for the first time. Probably be a couple of years before we can work through and rinse again but can't knock free money

For the regular saver? No, otherwise its wouldn't be a *regular* saver.

    From the terms:

In other words no you can not pay in 6 lots of £400 but you could pay in 13 lots of £200 so long as you don't open the account on 1st of the month.
