Does anyone know when this offer will end? Trying to set up my DDs, but it’s taking forever.
I’ve signed up for national lottery, and moved 2 credit card DDs across to the donor account but none are appearing yet.
I don't know when the offer will end but the terms of the Nationwide switching offer state that you'd need to complete the switch within 60 days of requesting it so if you requested the switch today you could set the switch date for as late as 30th November if you wanted to and still qualify for the £200. This would give you about 7 weeks to set up the 2 DDs on your donor account which is ample time for setting up most DDs I've found.
    7. You must transfer a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits from the current account being switched to the Nationwide account as part of the switch. Direct Debits set up or transferred after your switch has been started will not count towards this offer. Other types of automated payments, such as standing orders and recurring card payments, won’t count towards this.

Best to have the DD fully functional before you start the the switch?

I agree it is best to have the DDs fully functional before you start the switch but if you set the switch date for 30th November the switch wouldn't be started until 22nd November so you'd have just over 7 weeks to get the DDs set up before the switch starts.

My main point was that if you're worried about missing out on the offer you can select the switch date for 30th November now to secure the offer and to give yourself plenty of time to set up the DDs.

Hello.  Apologies, I was supposed to post the above screenshot on this thread, but accidently posted it on the Direct Debit thread.  My RBS DD's for Plum/Moneybox seem to be ready.  Plum has already taken £2 payment and Moneybox is due tomorrow.  From the above do you think I'm now ready to go ahead and switch my RBS account to Nationwide?  If so, what safe switch date should I set it as to avoid any issues?

You are now ready to switch. It doesn't matter which date you pick but for the sake of getting the £200 as quickly as possible I'd select Tuesday 10th October (the earliest possible switch date).

That's absolutely wonderful, thank you Bridlington.

We have two seperate RBS accounts, both now setup with the same DD as shown in the screenshots, so these will be switched separately to NW - hopefully to get £200 each.

So when it comes to getting the additional £200 for joint account, when do we open the joint NW account?

    Cheers for all your help.

Right one account opening/switch has been successful, but I'm afraid the other has been put on hold by NW as they want to do further checks.  I get the feeling that it's going to get rejected because I've done a lot of account switches which have resulted in multiple hard-checks on my credit-file.  Has anyone had this issue and if so, have you had any success in getting the account open?

I am contemplating switching our main Starling joint account to Nationwide in order to get the extra £200 on top of the personal accounts once we've completed out TSB switches (not totally sure yet as I love Starling)

We already have a Nationwide FlexPlus account which we've had a couple of years (for the travel insurance) Would we be OK to switch the Starling account into that? or does the Nationwide account need to be made within a period of time?

You can switch into an existing Nationwide account - no limit on how old it can be. The only restriction is that you haven't taken advantage of a switch joint incentive before.

my switch has completed today having applied on the 21st. my OH applied on the same day and got that message, also an email a few minutes later asking for "proof of income" which i thought was odd as no overdraft was applied for. OH is the main wage earner.
proof and the form they sent on the email was returned same day (21st). not heard a thing since.

I had a similar message at the end of my application. I just got an email saying it was open the day after. The only difference was I had to wait for information in the post to log in.
I guess it's just generic for any manual checks they need to do, unfortunately if they ask for more information it seems like it might not be so quick. In my case I think it was related to my selfie/id photo that they couldn't automatically match, as that's what it said before I got redirected to that page.
