Hi All, still hanging in here!

@Coxy11 do you have the recipe for the peanut chicken pasta please? Sounds delish 🤤

Life is 🫠 at the moment, poor hubby has had one infection after another. 3 lots of antibiotics in last 6 weeks! Will find out on Tuesday if another trip to hospital is needed 🤔. Been there twice in last couple of weeks 🥺.
Had Occupational Therapist out to see hubby and it was decided he needs a stairlift but as we are tenants they had to go through council. They have refused it and as we are in an old house they are offering a bungalow within our county area. They are selling of old housing stock so thought this might happen. Trouble is we are spoilt here, quiet(ish) country lane so hubby doesn’t really want to move, i do! There are so many pros & cons but we will wait to see what’s offered. Hope it’s soon as the builder has already been out to size up the alterations for home dialysis.

I have an MRI booked for Thursday to see how things have deteriorated in my lower back/sciatic nerve damage. Between hubbys health & my back, would love a home without stairs 🤗
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

@joedenise - Im so jealous of all those holidays :)

    @bubbs - Glorious

Ive between 2 and 3lb to go. According to my scales its just over a 1lb to 2lb, SW always weigh in more. Im happy with where Im at which is more important then any scale measurement . I wanted  the stone, that was all I was originally aiming for so 22lb is a HUGE amount

I get disgruntled and grumpy and cross at times and I find it really hard to accept a 1lb loss is still a 1lb loss. Esp when new starters join and get their stone within a month - lol I do get crabbit :) Its become a bit of a joke in group. I am truly over the moon for them, truly, just jealous as f cos its never happened for me. Some make it so effortless and I battle for every pound. Im sure theres ladies there who listen to me be grouchy and think !!!!!! is she moaning about - skinny minny that she is, because obviously I am on the smaller size there now and the new starters are on the big size. Dont get me wrong Im very supportive to others, esp ladies my age who are struggling as well due to being menopausal

I know I dont make it easy for myself, I rarely eat enough, I drink like a fish. Ive found going back to work really difficult in terms of eating enough. 4 hour shifts - no break. I would have usually got hungry around 2pm when id make myself a good healthy open sandwich or stuffed pitta and take my time with a knife and fork, really filled me till dinner. Now Im on the road at 11, work 12-4 and not in till 5 and a couple of times Ive felt physically sick and Ive made bad choices - family bag of crisps and white bread and butter and hot sausage rolls. So Im mitigating the hunger with a couple of baby bells shoved in my pockets and taking my yoghurt and bran to eat in the car before work - if I can get parked easily , but its not enough calories. With work and walking Im using 15k calories a week, I wouldn't eat/drink more then 10k so in theory the weight should be falling of me but its not and the consultant is convinced Im not eating enough

So this is why Im keeping some big clothes because Ive not got this to a lifestyle. I need to get to grips with food, foods I like, that are handy, which are low on the syns - IE none - that I can eat on the hoof. When I did WW back in 2000, I found that so easy, I didnt drink and the point system for everything worked for me, I could take dried fruit or tinned fruit, not unlimited but not syned off the scale. WW didnt have a problem with sugar , which I dont take or crave so didnt penalise you for choosing canned ( fruit juice ) over fresh , they were more about fat content, so have your toast - forget the butter, and it suited my life a lot easier. I know no programme is perfect and without SW I might not have got to where I am right now, but I cant see it ever going to work long term, lifestyle , without going to group week in and out

    Evening all

Welcome back TIE although i am sorry to hear of both of your health problems , hope the housing sorts its self out for you.

Longwalker, nice to have you back and very well done on getting to target and now lowering it.

Jelly and Coxy well done on your losses.

Beanie and Jelly hope you are both safe from the floods, the weather couldn't be more different as you see it really has been glorious and i think just Weds and Friday is not good.

Today we have been to  Ilfracombe and stopped off at the beach in Combe Martin (where we are staying) on the way back.

I have been really naughty so need to rein it in a bit, yesterday i had scones, jam and butter, pizza and salad.

Today so far fish and chips, they were scrummy, i am going to have a ham pitta salad in a bit and some fruit.

I did buy a chicken , so i am cooking that at the moment and we are taking chicken salad pittas tomorrow on our day out.

I have taken some lovely pictures

We can only have so many holidays because we are retired and save like mad for them!  The motorhome also makes for fairly cheap holidays although it was quite expensive to buy (cheap compared with prices now of course!).  We bought it 10 years ago and it was already 10 years old so certainly not a new van.  Once it packs up that will be it because we definitely can't afford another one.

@ Longwalker - There are lots of dried and canned fruit you can have as your HEBs like 60g dried apricots and there's no reason why you can't use some syns to increase the amount.  You can also have 250g of tinned pears in juice or 350g sliced granny smith's in juice.  You could also have 25g almonds (whole, sliced or ground) or 5 walnut halves.  So there are options which you'd be able to carry.

If you like overnight oats that would also be good to eat in the car before you start work and is very filling and would probably keep you going until you get home at 5pm.

Your pics and holiday look smashing @bubbs good you’re having a few treats too 😍

Hope you get offered a bungalow in a lovely area @TakeItEazy. I’m hoping to find similar when DS2 moves out (hopefully soonish!)

@Longwalker congratulations on hitting target. You sound very happy with life and your new job.

Rain was a lot heavier during the night and first thing this morning. We have a lot of road closures and flooding but thankfully didn’t need to go out. Must admit have enjoyed my two days of doing exactly what I wanted 😜

Dinner is roast chicken, roast potatoes, roasted a couple of trays of veg while the oven was on, some for dinner and the rest will do lunches for the next couple of days.

My DD2 is is on holiday in Scotland at the moment.  She's been in Edinburgh for a few days and she's moving on tomorrow to Alloa.  She said it's been really warm and very wet!  Understatement I think!

So sorry that things are tough for you and your DH @TakeItEazy.  Do hope you get offered a bungalow.  It sounds like it would be a good move for both you and your DH.
