  • My latest favourite dinner. Lots of veg, hexa low fat feta, and 1 syn for the cous cous and 1 for the hot sauce. Also had some yellow stickered basa fillets with salad. Usual hexb sugar puffs along with a kitkat, just because.
WI this evening and had lost 5.5lbs! So that got me a Club 10 sticker and 1.5 stone. Just over 2 stone in total now so I'm happy.
  • Here's our new wee boy. Our cat is scared of him! Hissed and ran away. Hopefully she will be fine if we just take it slowly

@beanielou pleased you have missed the worst of the weather so far, the photos of the snow, fallen trees, road closures etc. looked awful.
@NornIronRose what a great loss, oh that kitten is gorgeous, hopefully big cat will learn to tolerate him soon, even if not actually become friends,  Shops here do not stock reduced fat Feta, must check next on line delivery from bigger stores.
@bubbs food looks great as usual.

Start getting back to normal here today, food to be cooked/portioned/froze, meal plans made, I took advantage of SM meat special offers again yesterday, space to be made and things rammed into freezer, vac sealer will be well utilised.
Cold and damp here, not nice. Walk to SM needed for more yogurt (we use gallons), stir fry veg and soured cream (will use small amounts as not good with FF yogurt splitting in the stroganoff then freezing.

Morning all, still very windy here but at least it's dry!  Glad you seem to have avoided the worst of the storm @beanielou.  We seem to be getting one storm after another at the moment don't we?  Still at least there isn't loads of snow!

Well done on your brilliant loss @NornIronRose - amazing loss at any time but at this time of the year is absolutely amazing.  Kitten looks cute but have to say I'm not a cat person at all.  We used to have dogs but not had one for over 20 years after we moved down to the Island as we used to be out of the house for at least 12 hours a day so wouldn't have been fair to any animal.

Have had to change my menu plan yet again today as DH has lost a filling and can't manage anything hard at the moment!  He's managed to get a dentist appointment for tomorrow morning so just hope the dentist can refill the tooth!

So the plan today now is:

    B - porridge, blueberries, raspberries
    L - 2 pea soup
D - fish, chips and peas

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge oats
    Syns - breadcrumbs 2

Have a good day everyone and stay safe.
  • What a lovely thing to do @joedenise. Very kind of you and of course a trip to Ikea is a bonus. I always buy their serviettes, great bargain but Ikea is in Belfast so we dont go often

@coxy11 glad to hear you are feeling better. DD tested positive Christmas Day and is really rough, but then she does tend to take things bad, well actually she is a right drama llama when shes poorly . We too are working away through the left overs and its pie day today, I have the leeks softening whilst Im on here

@maman , Im the same, but doing my best , which is all we can do. And I like the new thread title - go for it :)

@NornIronRose, what a fantastic loss, well done. Your couscous salads were my mainstay at the start of my journey as well. I still reach for it for lunches as its so very filling . Your wee Kitten is just so cute, has he a name?

@maddiemay , well done you for being so organised. I wish I was. I tend to have an idea of what we will be eating but Im never organised enough to have it all prepped and in the freezer

@bubbs, I could smash the stew and veggies. Kind of getting sick of the rich Christmas food now. Last night I made bubble and served it with salad alongside cold turkey and ham and it was lush. The salad that was lol I lashed it into me

@maddiemay , I think Im really pushing the limits myself but Im going to WI on Saturday , its going to have to be the slap I need. Im going to start a countdown again - 6 weeks - 7lb . Im struggling to maintain, its all or nothing for me at the moment and at the moment its everything in sight lol

@jellybaby, hope you had a good evening out

    @beanielou , lovely cats xxx

Well the storm is lashing us here. Everywhere is under water, Luckily we live high but the fields below us are submerged and the roads are atrocious. Im working this afternoon so need to take the main line, the back roads are too flooded

Went to the sales at work yesterday and got myself a winter coat. Well jacket, Im too short for coats, always look like a sack of spuds in a coat, or a diddyman. Ive been making do with the hooded fleeces I have but they are a size 16 and my new coat is a 12. So they were letting too much wind in under and were no longer warm . Working at the coast the wind is always fierce, umbrellas are a waste of time , this has a great hood which buttons around the chin. I look like Im wearing a burka if I do it up - just my eyes showing. Most people wear those huge changing robe coats but they are just too long for me. It wasnt in the sale as it was new in, but I got 30% off as staff discount so happy enough

Other then the scone and far too many whiskies, I stayed on plan for food and aim to do the same today. Jaimie leek and turkey pie. Yes theres pastry but Im not doing spuds, just cauliflower and broccoli so plenty of speed

Oh something weird has happened, Ive taken a notion for tea. I usually take coffee , just one a day, but Ive been reaching for the tea. Think it might be down to too much rich food?

Stay safe and dry everyone xx

    Fabulous loss! @NornIronRose

Ouch your poor DH @joedenise good he will be seen soon

Well done in the sales - and smaller sizes @Longwalker. I did a bit of online shopping yesterday and got a great bargain on woolly mammoth boot slippers for my great nephews which I’ll put away for next Christmas 😁

Meal out was delicious. Opted for a chicken Caesar salad then Elton mess. I just needed something light and fresh. However many cocktails and wine were consumed. I’m now ready to get back on the wagon for both food and drink. Weigh in on Saturday is going to be horrendous but as I’ve really kicked the pants out of it I’m drawing the line today and starting afresh.

Only had coffee so far and thinking veggie omelette for lunch and salmon and salad for dinner.
