I weighed in this morning. Just 0.5 above target range so now on a grace week. Still haven’t been properly and seriously considering colonic irrigation (not even joking)

Just had a lovely chilli con carne and might have a cheeky glass of wine 🍷

Well done on the park run @NornIronRose and good for you getting a STS @Jellybaby x

Such a pain about the curtains @joedenise but glad you could change them without issue.

Coxy, do you drink plenty of fluids? Try kiwi with skin, supposed to be good. I can't advise as never have problems in this department 🤣

Morning all, it's another bright but windy day today.  Hoping I can get DH to make a decision on whether or not he fancies going to Sheffield Park National Trust place.  It's supposed to have some amazing colours at this time of year and think we ought to at least try and get some use out of our membership as we won't be renewing it at the moment and it runs out the end of this month.  Think we've only been to one other place this year so really not worth what we've paid for it!

@Coxy11 - @bubbs is right about needing to be drinking lots of fluids but never heard of eating kiwi with the skin to help!  I usually find red wine does the job for me and if I haven't got any (very usual occurrence, LOL!) then a nice long walk!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in WM pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, carrots, green beans, peas - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - pitta
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5

Don't think I'll be having any more syns today as went well over yesterday!

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Coxy I agree with the others. Fluids! Fluids! Fluids!
Most constipation is caused by dehydration unless you are on medication that can contribute.
Mind you, years ago I was on holiday in Malta and didn't go for a week. Dried apricots was what worked for me.

Well, wedding was brilliant craic last night. Had one scoop of biryani, a couple of little meat kebab things (only meat), lots of salad and about 2 dsp of lentil dhal. Avoided the chicken and fish (fried) and the 3 curries on the table, as they were quite oily.
Big dessert table and so pleased that there were two big platters of fruit all beautifully cut. So I dined on many slices of melon, grapes, raspberries and strawberries, plus a passionfruit and kiwi that were so sour! Avoided all the pastries and sugared cashew nuts. Did pretty well I think. Took a big bag of fruit home with me (everyone else was taking pastries).
Then danced my butt off for about 2 hours. I tell you what, those Kenyan women can dance!
So breakfast this morning can be fruit and yoghurt.

    Morning all

    Quick pop in till later.

Denise , lots of the slimming pages says that works with kiwi i have never needed to try.

Rose glad you had a fab time, well done resisting the curries!  I love dried apricots, figs , dates etc but sooooooooooooooo many syns! and you don't get many for hexb :(

I am just cooking LM sausages and mushrooms to have in soft pitta. Roast pork and tonne of speed veg for tea 😋😋I'll be back later

  • Definitely should be losing this week. Purely because I haven't been eating much. I know I should but I've just been really busy. And I have been resisting snacking. Had more of the fruit that I took from last night but I have the opposite problem to Coxy now!

Got the kids pizza from our favourite place. I have resisted even though I'm really hungry. Sitting down now to finn crisps with vegemite and sliced chicken. Love it! Plus a wee mature cheddar snack portion with the rest of the grapes. Got to go to work later just for a bit so will treat myself to sugar puffs when I get home around 11.

Got to drive to Epsom tomorrow for a course. Usually the catering is good so hoping for at least some fruit. Usually lots of yummy sandwiches, crisps and other yummy snacks.

Be strong tomorrow @NornironRose. It's not a good idea to not eat but at least what you're having is good stuff.

Difficult one about your target @bubbs. Usually we'd be over the moon about a loss. How irritating that you're getting them now after all those months of gains and STS. ☹️ I agree that Christmas isn't a good time to go for a new target. I think you'll just have to WI in boots and your biggest coats and jumpers! 🤣

I've been known to say rude words when the scales settle 0.5lbs above target @Coxy11. Hopefully you'll lose it this week and you'll be set up until the new year.🤞

We had a walk along the waterside today, dry but blowy. I came home and batch cooked meatballs and tomato sauce as well as today's roast (half price pork from Sainsburys @bubbs 😉).

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- mushroom omelette (P. Sl, pickles (S)
D- roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes, parsnips (F), speed veg (S)
    Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine😁
