Morning all.
Had a quick read through. Well done for staying on track ladies, and hope your sinusitis clears up Longwalker. I feel your pain!
I need to monitor my BP for 2 weeks then they will see if I need to go on meds. Which I will do when I find my machine! Priority this morning will be finding my sports bra and clothes for parkrun. No idea where they are. Rainy and miserable here today.
Have a wedding today, DD2's best friend who is like a daughter to me. No idea what I will wear but hey ho. Have my Conturve pants so will be good to go! Lol.
Will be careful with my food. Should be able to load up on salad and hopefully chicken. Rice is usualy biryani in that place (tasty but probably made with oil). Aw well, I have eaten some chicken this week but other than that it's mostly all been speed. The odd banana and a few Finn crisp things with Vegemite and cottage cheese for lunch. Keeping busy stops me from boredom eating.
Found the sugar puffs with a taste of honey so that is my treat in the evenings. A bowl of those to nibble like popcorn while watching a bit of telly to fall asleep to.0 -
Morning all, the wind and rain woke me up during the night. The rain against the window was really loud because of the strong wind blowing it towards that direction. It's still really wet and windy this morning.
I'm sure you'll manage well @maman with your good when you can this week, you usually do!
@NornIronRose - biryani wouldn't be the worst choice you could make particularly if it's a vegetable one. If it's a chicken or beef one then that's what will have been cooked in oil, the rice generally isn't. Enjoy the wedding and don't fret too much about the food.
I bought some new curtains for our bedroom during the week and DH finally put up the new pole for them, put the curtains on but when drew them across they didn't meet in the middle! I'd picked up 90" wide curtains but the ones in the pack were only 66"! Means a trip back over to Sittingbourne to take them back and try and find some that are actually the right size in the packet! Had enough trouble finding this size in the colour I wanted when we bought them so may end up having to order some! What a pain!!!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S
D - vegetable biryani - S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - LF sausages 2; couple of rum & ginger beers maybe 5
Have a good day everyone.0 -
That is a pain Denise. Especially when the shop isn't just around the corner. Hope you find the ones you need.
Managed to get out to a very puddly parkrun. Bloody slow though! But at least I did it.0 -

Managed to get the curtains changed without any problem other than having to find the same ones in the right size! As soon as I picked up the pack I could feel the difference in weight! DH has now hung them and there is plenty to cover the windows now so hopefully they'll cut out a lot more light than the current blinds do. We've left the blinds up as well so hoping it will be really dark in the mornings and not woken by the sun (although of course that isn't such a problem at this time of year!!!)
Well done @NornIronRose on doing the park run. Doesn't matter that it wasn't quick, you still did it and got in some body magic.

@joedenise is right @NornironRose, you did well to get to your Park run this morning and find your kit! 🤣 Baby steps in the right direction. 👍
Pleased you got the curtains sorted @joedenise. Strangely, I really don't like it too dark in the bedroom, it makes me feel claustrophobic . Our bedroom curtains are unlined calico. Each to his own.🤔
Just back from a fantastic lunch with DD2. As I enjoyed it so much the other day, I had a baked Camembert to start followed by lamb (2 chops and a small faggot) with dauphinoise potatoes, onions and mushy peas. Small portions and delicious but full of syns. Probably won't have much else today but back on plan tomorrow.😁0 -
Hi all, another week AWOL due to work but aren’t the weeks flying in?AnotherSTS for me. I felt I never ate much during the week, certainly not enough speed and definitely nowhere near the amount I’d normally eat.And while I stayed on plan I was conscious of picking at things and not eating proper meals. Hopefully do better this week. Work is really unpleasant but not long to go 🥳
A nice quiet night ahead of me and a catch up on loads of pages to see what you’ve all been up to.0 -
That lunch sounds absolutely delicious @maman! We've decided on a baked Camembert for starter on Christmas Day followed by a beef wellington! Don't think we'll need much, if anything after that.
Well done on the STS @Jellybaby. I wouldn't worry about picking at things and not eating proper meals as long as the picky bits are on plan!
Glad you haven't got long to go with things getting really unpleasant. When do you actually leave?
