    Morning all,

WFH the next 3 days - hallelujah. Next week just Tuesday and Wednesday in the office, then two more WFH days then that's it. Stomach-ache subsided after a nice bath. Feels very much like TOTM pains and my knockers are really sore too, but no other signs. Haven't had anything since August so this is very much the meno - joy!

Watched the Lockerbie programme last night. DSis and I have been there twice on our JoGLE walk - finishing one leg and starting the next. A lovely town that didn't choose to be on the world stage :(

@Longwalker - thank you for sharing - you are doing so well, and we will be supporting you all the way if dry January is your plan. I currently work in the addiction space and there is help out there but it has to be what suits you. If AA doesn't work for you I hope your GP and colleagues can suggest alternatives. It's not one size fits all. Good luck xx

    Food today:
    B - 2 plums, pear, poached egg, 1 x WM toast, mushrooms - S, P, 1/2 HEB
L - Cheese and mushroom omelette, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles, 2 satsumas, apple - HEA, P, S
D - SW easy chicken curry, basmati rice - free
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar

Morning all, a miserable morning with spits of rain in the air.  Hairdresser just left so now I can get on.

Good that you can WFH @Coxy11 for most of the time you have left there.  Are you starting the new job immediately after or having a few days off between?

@Longwalker - @Coxy11 is right we'll all be here supporting you as much as we can for Dry January.  Good luck with it.

    Today's plan:

    B - carrot cake baked oats; yoghurt - HEB; S; F
    L - stuffed peppers - HEA; S; 4.5
    D - beef stew, mash - P; S; F

     HEA1 - milk
     HEA2 - cheese.
    HEB - oats.
    Syns - walnuts 4.5

    Have a good day everyone.

DH has just booked us a week's holiday on the Isle of Wight!  It's somewhere we've been looking at for a while but was very expensive when he looked a couple of month's ago but come down to just over £250 for the week.  Of course with the ferry it's going to take it over £300 but still not bad for a week's holiday and we won't be spending on fuel as we'll use the buses while we're there!

Hopefully we will mainly be on plan for that week although alcohol level will be higher than usual but I'll still be taking some of my 0% spirits!

@Longwalker thanks for sharing - we are here with you to help support as much as possible xx  @joedenise I am sure you will love the Isle of Wight, we went earlier this year and had a fantastic time

This morning went to pot.  A friend is really struggling with her relationship.  She was supposed to come round last night, but couldn't make it at the last moment, but texted this morning to see if she could come round - she appeared at 9.30 and was in a terrible state.  I then had to leave at 10.30 as I was meeting another friend for coffee (we meet up once every 3 months or so).  I feel like I have been through the wringer - the first friend was so very upset - really distraught - I am not sure I helped very much, just let her talk.

So because of that I never had breakfast.  I was "good" at Costa, I had a coffee and then had a small hot chocolate with no cream or extras.
L -spaghetti carbonara with spinach and cheese (HEA)
D tuna salad (1 syn) for the extra light mayo plus wholemeal roll 60g (HEB)
Snacks berries and yoghurt (which should have been breakfast)
Debt free and Keeping on Track

I know we'll enjoy the Isle of Wight, we've been to the same place a couple of times already just not this late in the year but feel we need to get away as didn't get our usual 30 day holiday to France in September because of my cataract operation!

You did the right thing for your friend by just being there and letting her talk but I'm not surprised you feel as though you've been through the wringer - it's not easy being a shoulder to cry on.  I'm sure you helped her just by being there for her.

I think you did well @MrsPorridge. You did the best you could for your friend. From a SW point of view, a small hot chocolate is far better than polishing off a bottle of wine and nibbles if she'd come over last night. 👍

£250 is great for a week's break @joedenise. Obviously we can go to the IoW for the day so have never stayed there. I can recommend the JPs in Osborne House from our last visit in the summer. 😁

You'll know what suits you best @Longwalker. If you think cold turkey is best for you then Dry January is a good idea as it's a shared challenge. Like @Coxy11, I hope you can get some nhs support but you'll definitely get it on here. 🤗

Still suffering with my cold so didn't think my usual Thursday walking group would be a good idea in the rain. ☹️

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- LO chicken casserole (P, F, S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns - 0

@maman - thanks I'll bear that in mind.  Just wanted to let you know that from Sunday Lidl Black Friday deals include a single drawer air fryer for £29.99 and a 2 drawer model for £69.99.  Doubt they'll have many but if you can for there on Sunday you might strike lucky!  No idea if you have a Lidl near you as I know you usually shop in Aldi.
