Evening all 😁
Rose glad you have finally moved, just keep chipping away and you will soon be sorted
Denise, how disappointing, glad you are getting a refund.
I can see i am going to have a battle on my hands, ordered some coats for Mum from Asda, they wasn't suitable, so i took them back yesterday , the woman told me to put them all in one bag and seal it which i did. She then scanned bothe the barcaodes from seperate invoices and stuck them on. Today i got a refund for £49 for one, and not the £72 for the other 2! So i rang them and she said you should have put them in separate bags! I said i did as i was told (for a change 😂) and she stuck both stickers on it.
I will definitely be chasing this and told her i will go and speak to the woman in store i know who served me as am in there alot!
She reckons i will hear in 24-48 hrs!!
Been busy sorting out today, just has a bit of fruit then a MASSIVE roast 😂 carrots, brussels, green beans, cauli, broc, mashed swede, roast beef and 2 syns yorkies, 4 syns gravy.

Yes was very disappointing @bubbs as always had good bags from there before. That's a good price for lamb at Sainsbury, assume the pork and beef offers end on Monday then! Was hoping to pick up another beef joint but not sure I can get over there tomorrow but will if I can.
@Coxy11 - I've not been to Macknade for years. Last time was pre Covid! I went to a meet up with some people from the Old Style board probably in 2017 or 18! What were the prices like today? I thought they were expensive when I was there then!0 -

I bought 2 pork joints for the freezer from Sainsburys this week. I had a £6 off voucher too so got most of my Aldi matched veg in there too. I didn't bother with the beef as have so much mince, medallions and cubes in the freezer decided that's enough red meat.
I'll look at the legs of lamb. Not my favourite joint (I love a nice shoulder) but do like lamb.
Shame about the TGTG bag @joedenise. Glad you got a refund. Hopefully a one off.0 -
Longwalker I am so glad you shared your story and that you have found a lot of positivity now. Well done you! Sounds a lot like me before HRT. Genuinely never had depression in my life despite 2 pretty horrible marriages. Until perimenopause struck. Had a black cloud over my head constantly, was sure I had dementia, awful joint pains, put on 2 stone in 6 months.
Thank God for HRT and divorce lol. I'm finding me again.
Got the heating and hot water working at last. Place was warmed up within about 15 minutes! So I turned the heat off again. I suppose that is a benefit of a small place.
Anyway, nighty night everyone. Got a course tomorrow which thankfully is online for Day 1. For Day 2 next Monday I have to go all the way to Epsom, wherever that is!0 -
Morning all, a lot of heavy rain overnight again but seems to be brightening up this morning although very windy. Think I've got enough to do indoors without going out in it! Have decided against getting another beef joint although may look at the lamb tomorrow as need to get some shopping and as I will be going to Sittingbourne for Lidl will also pop into Sainsbury's. Will need to come back to the main town on the Island as well as there's a couple of things I want to get from Tesco and my friend has also asked me to pick up her dogs' tablets from the vet's which is on the way.
So today's plan:
B - porridge with frozen cherries - HEB; F (didn't have any Speed fruit in the freezer)
L - rice salad - S; F.
D - eggs, chips, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes - P; S; F.
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge oats
Syns - none planned but will probably find something!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi everyone,
I’m in the office today meeting and greeting interview candidates. Will need to pop out in between to send a Bay of E parcel, plus fit in lunch!
I’m glad you’ve figured out the heating @NornIronRose! Nowt worse than being cold.
Oh @bubbs I hope you can get that sorted. Thanks for the lamb tip off!
The Winter Salad was £12.50 and DH had a ciabatta with slow cooked lamb and mini roasties for £12 @joedenise. The place was rammed and the food took ages. We waited 40 minutes for drinks and then they got our order wrong so DH ended up with a GnT instead of an IPA. They’d already opened the tonic so he ended up with both! He wasn’t complaining!
Food today:
B – overnight oats with mullerlight vanilla and cherries – HEB, 0.5, Free
L – lo easy chicken curry with rice – free, 2 satsumas, apple
D – chicken tikka – new recipe from July mag – free
HEA – milk
Syns – hi fi 3 plus 0.5
Lunch was the only meal left in the freezer so 2 curries in one day – ooops!
