Santander Easy Access Limited Edition

I'd noticed there was a standing order option from within this account but I've never needed to set one up. I now see that when you do this, it says that this isn't possible from that type of account, just as @BooJewels mentioned above. Appearing to offer the option (when there isn't actually an option) is poor app design !ColdIron said:
Is this possible? I can only set up SOs from my 123 Lite and Edge current accountrefluxer said:Alternatively, once you know roughly how much to expect, you could set up a standing order which is a good feature of this account that you don't get with the majority of the other high-paying easy access savings accounts.
Apologies for the false info, folks - I'll edit my previous post.1 -
On 9 September I received an email saying the account was opened. I cannot see it yet online yet (and I already have two accounts). Yesterday I called to enquire but they couldn't find anything. I quoted the ref number in the email and it didn't seem to match their standard ref number lenght.ToastLady said:I applied earlier this morning for Santander Limited EA. Got confirmation on web browser that application received with ref no. Nothing further so far, expect that they are very busy.0 -
So how do you withdraw money? Do you need another account with them?friolento said:flaneurs_lobster said:
Don't think so, doesn't seem to be an option online to set up SO other than from CA.ColdIron said:

I don't believe sochutuk said:I've just got all my access sorted to this account and have deposited some funds on the monthly interest option, however quite disappointingly I can't seem to figure out two basic things that are normally pretty standard for savings accounts. I called Santander but they weren't very helpful either, so does any know...
1) Is it possible to change the date on which the monthly interest is paid. (I'd like it on the 1st of the month)2) Can I nominate an account to have the interest paid away to? (Ideally a current account with another bank)Again this will be a no
Pretty useless for my needs then really. Will stick with it until something better comes along I guess.
SOs are not offered from the savings accounts. You can, however, set up individual internal transfers or external payments for future dates if wanted. A bit laborious, not something I would use.0 -
You can make Faster Payments directly from the savings account.francoghezzi said:

All set up although despite waiting for the two postal letters I didn’t need the temporary Password anyway🙄 ?!?0

I opened this account got the email with sort code and account no. How do i view the account as i cannot see it ? no idea how to use it.0
-
The information was almost certainly in that email - it was in mine.
If you're an existing Santander customer that already uses online banking, it'll just show up if your list of accounts. If you're new to Santander, you'll probably have to wait for your online access details to come in the post, in 2 separate letters.1 -
im existing customer however the account has not shown up. pretty strange. yea guess i have wait.0
-
I'm surprised to hear that - maybe it depends on when exactly you opened it - maybe they were being a bit more cautious as the deadline approached, as there were some issues around that time. I opened mine (existing customer) on early Monday morning, got logged out as part of the application process and by the time I'd logged in again it was there - mere moments. I emailed my sister about it thinking she'd be interested and likewise she replied in under 20 mins saying `account opened and funded'.parkee said:im existing customer however the account has not shown up. pretty strange. yea guess i have wait.1 -
Sorry this may have been covered, do you know when the monthly interest gets applied?0
