  • I believe that it was you @Blackcats who introduced the first ever filth onto my diary 😂

    Thanks @beanielou I did!

I didn't resist very hard at all, as thought there was no point annoying myself checking the wifi every five minutes when even if it was working I didn't want to use it if it was being dodgy as Mr PIP had essential job work to do

So I got in bed with my book, managed one chapter then fell asleep for two hours. Feeling brighter for it though in need of more! Rib ache has sorted itself but I seem to have somehow hurt my hip. Wouldn't it be nice to have one day with nothing feeling ugh

Still, managed to get a 30 minute walk while it was still light and will see if I feel inclined to catch up on online tasks this evening. Might be preferable to chill and hopefully be able to smash it tomorrow. I'm sure not comping for one day won't ruin my 100% streak of winning absolutely b*gger all 😂

Sounds like you really needed that sleep. I love how you keep your sense of humour despite all the stress.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I'm feeling much better cold-wise, still got a cough but apparently people are calling it the '90 day cough' because so many people are having it linger for ages so at least it's not just me. Period finished but joints hurting in various places in true 'nature abhors a vacuum' style!
Mr PIP still actually cold-y so have left him to recover while I've gone back to mums to get a decent nights sleep with no upstairs noise, hoping to feel much better after proper kip.
Travel always affects my joints even more so will allow myself a rest day tomorrow if needed. Feeling optimistic about being able to crack on enthusiastically (by my standards) with life doings soon though.

    So, mse things today:

    Admin comping tidying

Travel outside of peak fare time

Decision to make do with whatever is knocking around for food rather than going to the shop en route then finding it wasn't necessary. Fortunately I'm well in, mum has offered me one of the nice lentil bakes in the freezer

Mr PIP is going to make enquiries about one of the planning consents when he feels up to it today or tomorrow- he has a work friend who said they can help with the 'what are we planning on planting' permission, which is also good as it won't give me the opportunity of shouting 'none of your effing business!' at the council and getting our planning permission revoked 😁

Used my travel time constructively to get to-do lists in order in the diary

Made sure to at least unpack and tidy to a 'things are vaguely in the right place' extent

Knackered now so anything else will just have to be done tomorrow or Fri. Would be nice to wake up and feel like achieving but nothing awful will happen if e.g. the laundry waits another day

Glad you are starting to feel better.
do you really have to submit information on what you are planning to plant in your garden??  Presumably a patch of grass and a few flowers isn't a sufficient level of detail 🙃. Don't you dare even think about bush innuendos in your response to the council!

Tell them you’re planning on planting cannabis and Japanese Knotweed 🤣🤣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Seriously @Blackcats it is flamin' ridiculous, we can't start on building or even making hiring/buying enquiries until the council have approved (and taken stupid money for) all the conditions, fair enough on some of them like a logistics plan for workers to use transport to bring/take building materials, but some just push me (me!) to the edge of swearing ability, 'what specifically are we planting in our private space' being one of them

They're so obsessed with box-ticking on being environmentally friendly @Sun_Addict (which normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with but they are applying no logic or reason or genuine belief or their own actions to it) that I want to say we're building the entire house out of Japanese Knotweed as it's sturdy, longlasting, and organic, and see them have a meltdown working out whether this is within their 'cultural and environmental aims', and this is why I am not allowed to interact directly with the council
  • I have done very little today and it has been marvellous.

Slept for ten hours, read, lunch, read

Um, has there been any mse activity amongst the lack of activity today..

Resisted buying a bottle of Baileys

Used up food that needed using

Very much enjoying my gifted pyjamas

Basic admin and tidying and comping

    Some wussy situps

    Resisted pub

30 minute walk, and got milk from coop using 20p off coupon- and asked the cashier for assistance because it was already meant to be 10p cheaper with member prices. He eventually sorted it out, and rounded it down so I got another 5p off

Creeping closer to accepting that I am not a jigsaw person so may be able to sell this jigsaw that I keep getting out, looking at for a bit then going 'nah'. I thought it would be wholesome but I'm not really a wholesome person. At least I tried. Ish. 😁

Have just finished Kazuo Ishiguro Remains of the Day and would recommend, very much enjoying it

Mum is cooking veggie spag bol for dinner which I am very happy about
