Your year in review made me laugh what the… 🤣
I do like a nice tea, can’t stand normal tea but love the fancy ones. People at work have always been fascinated by my filter coffee bags from Mr S that you perch over the cup and pour water through (I don’t do instant coffee). I should’ve been on commission as they then started running out of stock due to unusually high demand from my colleagues 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Oh good grief - it serves me right for managing to miss your diary for a few days PiP, but it's turned into a den of iniquity and perversion while I've been gone - disgraceful! Yes - the earl Grey tea nonsense, that's what I'm talking about. As far as I am concerned tea comes in one variety - builders. it can be caffeinated or not, but it needs to be decently strong, come with a teeny splash of milk, and no poncey flowery overtones!
Beanie - the Proper chips are rather nice, although I don't think I've tried the lentil ones so might have to look out for those!
I hardly dare to ask, but any further news on the planting permission....sorry, planning consent?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@beanielou Do you believe you were the number one purchaser of the Proper chips? I can’t believe we bought the most strawberries- there’s only two of us!! Although we do like them…. You would be horrified at my normal tea @EssexHebridean - very weak. A kind of beige colour. That made me laugh about the cat. Our dog can hear a cheese wrapper from the top of our quite large garden 😱
Hope you are doing okay @PennysIntoPounds.L x1 -

I'm very proud of you all for your random purchasing awards and all the cats for their supersense priorities.
No progress on the planning permissions/consents @EssexHebridean, I'd hoped I'd be able to tackle some of them but despite my organisational skills, I don't fancy b*ggering it up and having to wait longer because I am not au fait with subsection 4.2b of the 1984 county revision (part two) on the permitted depth a tradesperson's lorry's tyre tread can be between 9.17am and 2.19pm on the third Wednesday in November, not including leap years, please see subsection 5.5 of the amended 1986 decision by the local authority2 -
A very chilly Tuesday's doings:
Admin comping tidying
25 minute walk finally recycling old wifi hub and getting some good value wine from Aldi
Small bit of work
45 minute walk going to Doctors for pharmacy appointment about period medication and smear test, then Lidl to actually use my £10 voucher, then local pub to treat myself and my cervix to a beer and a catch up with some local mates
And on the way back I found a very cute vintage-looking cheese cutter.
Fortunately the pharmacist was really nice, I was glad it occurred to me to take the medication in though as they found that helpful as my medical records hadn't transferred yet
Smear test all fine, if anyone is due one please don't put it off. Mildly embarrassing getting your tuppence (thanks @dawnybabes 😁) out and even worse realising just how unseemly your winter unshaven legs are but other than a couple of seconds of discomfort the actual test is fine
It was more embarrassing in Lidl, where I carefully added up my shop on my phone as I went, to make the most of the £10 voucher but not be encouraged to overspend- then got to the till and the face cream that was marked as 3.49 was 1.49... usually good news but I had to be THAT person going 'sorry, sorry', abandoning all my stuff at the till and running round the shop finding extra items!
Sorry again everyone in Lidl

Do any of my lovely folk on here have a good (or, compared to me, vaguely passing) understanding of self assessment voluntary national insurance contributions? I've gone to pay mine and it says 'tax year full'. I've looked online and especially at MSE and it looks like if you made over 6somethingk but under 11somethingk you don't have to pay towards your state pension for that year but I don't understand how when I haven't paid HMRC anything, I feel like I've missed a crucial bit of information
