I’ve had several run ins with my SIL. She thinks she’s right about everything and her ideas are the only ones that matter. I quite enjoy deliberately disagreeing with her 😈😆

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪

Ah yes I recall @Sun_Addict, the SiL who has very strong opinions about what you should be doing for Mr SA but never lifts a finger to help. She also sounds like a joy 🙄

Apart from the horrible upset and trauma, it is objectively fascinating that so many of us have or have had really worrying SiLs, I wonder what the sociological and psychological reasons for that are

I was also wondering about the sil dynamics too. There are a lot of us who have sil stories to tell. Hopefully none of us are each other's annoying sister in laws 🙀

Does it just go back to we chose friends but are just stuck with family? As you live so close to her this might be an ongoing issue for you, is there anyway you can have a chat with her about what might really be going on ? Underneath all the drama she has written in her head? Not in a confrontational way but there must be something underneath all this be it some weird kind of jealousy or feeling left out or depression or ??? goodness knows what but I have found when I am "adulting" enough to talk to people there can be a problem that an be resolved. OR I conclude the person I am trying to see what lies underneath with is just nuts and park it😊

I once tried to talk to PPH's brother. First time he went off in a temper after telling me his childhood had been truly awful and he was traumatised so much worse than PPH and thereafter he maintained I was a manipulative !!!!!! so obviously I wasn't very good at the adulting talking 😀

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Ha I doubt it @Blackcats they all seem mad in a very specific way to themselves!

Good to know it can happen @Nonnadiluca 😊

We're sadly past the point of that @Watty1, there's disagreeing then there's introducing a whole next level of batsh*t toxicity into our lives and we certainly aren't inviting any more in!
