That sounds so stressful @Slowdown, my immense sympathies. Who is meant to be checking for subsidence? Is there another private contractor you could hire if you have the money available? I think once something has got to a laying awake worrying at 3am stage, then spending extra money if you have it is an entirely reasonable route to take, your mental and physical health is more important

You’re absolutely right. If the surveyors don’t do something then I would consider a private assessment. The surveyors are attached to the insurance company and meant to fix a date for a visit this week. I suspect they’ll monitor it to start with. That seems to be par for the course.
My 3 am wake ups are when the rabbit holes appear and I my mind starts running down them! I’m getting quite adept at shutting the door on them but it doesn’t always work!

Well it's Tuesday tomorrow so if they haven't set a day and time by early-mid afternoon then get in touch and ask when this appt will be and what potential actions and timelines you can expect from their appt, and incidentally what their complaints dept contact details are as there do seem to be significant delays to an extremely important issue that you, a paying customer, are suffering in several ways from 💅
