I alternate between medium sized rucksack and little suitcase for travelling to Mr PIPs @WelshmansDaughter as both have pros and cons joints-wise. I think if you see a good quality shopping trolley (or granny trolley as I frankly rudely call them since all the grannys I know are much more capable than me!) at a good price you should invest if you know it'll make a difference0

Happy, I think, Thursday.
Got a cold. Trying to ignore it. Have been forced to buy a box of tissues though
Having a nice Christmas Day with Mr PIP, except for going 'Thank you for the gift, DON'T KISS ME!' 😁 Don't want him getting ill
Some mse bits:
Admin and tidy
Free exercise getting a walk to get supplies (I was masked up and kept my distance), and picked up a little cushion for the sofa from Olio which the cats are appreciating!
Comping
Could not be bothered with Norstat surveys' nonsense saying something went wrong with the survey. They denied cocking up last time they had. Shame as Panelbase was quite decent but Norstat turning into one to avoid
Coop and Sains receipt surveys
Bits and bobs of little to-do tasks from the diary
As it's Christmas we went mad and got deluxe mac cheese from co-op, it was two for £7 though so at least a deal was had.
That is our treat for dinner, with one of the bottles of nice rioja I'd been pining after that I got for Christmas. I didn't know that reserva and gran reserva aren't made every year, reserva only in years designated 'good' and gran reserva only in years designated 'excellent'.
You learn something new every day!
And presumably two new things on days designated good and three on days designated excellent

Ooh I love a good Rioja 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Have traded in malbec for a merlot.
Fancy when someone else pays for it.
I have the disability trade off problem when it comes to the trolley which is why I didn't get one.
The wheels make a noise, pushing is better than pulling, pushing reminds me of wheelchair pushing, it's a new thing to get used to... And so on and so forth. Easier in the end to get a backpack with lots of pocketses (to play with)2 -
Cold being fairly unignorable.
We got into bed to find a cat had peed in the middle of the duvet so had to strip that then went into the living room to try to sleep but were too uncomfortable so agreed to flip the mattress and sleep in sleeping bags on it trying to avoid the centre.
Poor Mr PIP had to go into the office today and went in late so he could start the several loads of laundry, at least he's having a day away from my germs.
Upstairs woke us up at 630am, spent ages trying to get back to sleep. All in all we scheduled a solid nine hours sleep in the hope of feeling better/fresh for work and it took nearly 12 hours to get eight hours broken sleep. I am not feeling at my best.
I am however about to embark on round three of four of mattress scrubbing, which will of course do my shoulders, especially when pre-menstrual, no end of good. Hurrah hurrah hurrah. Is it bedtime yet.1 -
Awww, sorry to hear you have a lergy on top of everything else, @Pip. I do hope you start to pick up soon.

Oh that sounds dire 😫 Fingers crossed tonight is better .I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks @foxgloves and @Sun_Addict
At least we're a two sleeping bag household!
Managed a few mse things in between interminable mattress tending and laundrying:
Shower and hairwash
Tidy admin comping
Got paid by late paying client so share to tax pot, got PiP money so that to emergency/dental pot, and a family friend kindly gave us £20 for Christmas so we decided half would be for a Christmas pint and half would go in the flat pot, so that's sent
Started the process for swapping an item online as Mr PIP would prefer a different size
Tiny bit of work
Washing machine obviously decided to say there was one minute left for the final two hours but last load finally on
Attempted to list on Olio to enter their current comp but their app is just too awful for my patience level at the moment
Walk up high street (masked up) but blimmin QR code wouldn't work for the parcel return so will have to try again tomorrow
Yellow sticker roasties and veg for dinner
2 -
Knackered with cold and upstairs and shoulders. Trying to keep on keeping on though!
Making an effort to use up food that needs eating, especially fruit and veg
Comping admin and tidying done
Btw, if anyone got a National Book Token for Christmas, once you've got a book, save your receipt and token and go on their website before Feb 29th and you can enter the draw to win £500
Managed to list a few things on Olio before the app had a hissy fit, will try to do more tomorrow to be entered into their comp
Got paid for a little bit of work so money appropriately apportioned
Mr PIP picked up a 2L carton of milk from Olio last night so we're doing some juggling of accessible containers vs best before dates to store some in the freezer
Walk up high street to drop off plastic recycling and sort out the return, successfully this time, phew. And essentials from Lidl including bread reduced to 30p
Need to buy a diary for the new year, it's getting on my nerves not being able to write to-do's in properly but must stay strong and see if sales reductions can be had
Dinner is stuffed pasta in an onion and garlic sauce with added garlic, with some garlic bread on the side, with added garlic. This cold needs to p*** off. I cannot be having cold, upstairs noise, hurty joints and period horrendousness, and there's nothing I can do about imminent period so sling yer hook, cold
