  • Well I did not know that, thanks @CRANKY40. I shall try not to go mad in Harrods

    Absolutely @WelshmansDaughter 😁
  • After my not putting things on Vinted someone's only gone and bought an old listing. And they've chosen the worst delivery option, I don't have time! But I will have to make time, £2 in the flat pot is better than, well, a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

Crikey - the money is flowing you way in torrents today.  Wait till all the prizes you've been mostly looking forward to winning start arriving too.
maybe save the £10 for the sale at Harrods - if you get in the queue now you are certain to get a great bargain with your bonus tenner.
  • I expect I shall have to use my Harrods sale tenner to buy ample storage in which to keep all my wins @Blackcats. But then where will I put all the storage? I will also have to buy a property, how fortunate I'll be winning the Premium Bonds Million Pounds in a couple of weeks. I dont think they've done the Somerset Omaze draw yet either, so I'll win that house too just to be sure of enough prize-keeping space.

  • Lidl- done. Got a free big tub of yoghurt too. Bought some nicer crackers for Mr PIP's gift that I hadn't spotted before so will need to take the other ones back

Shower and hairwash- done. Tried the lower position @EssexHebridean suggested but felt like I was waterboarding myself. Luckily I didn't tell myself anything I didn't already suspect

Cleaned flat. Aching ludicrous amount. No more doings for now.

Wrapping, receipt surveys pile, everything on today's list will have to wait.

But I feel like the main achievement while cleaning today was saying "I'm finding that intimidating and I'm going to ignore it"

Don't forget to like, share, and follow me on insta for more cleaning inspiration 😂

  • Mum's gifts and Mr PIP's stocking gifts wrapped. Will wrap Mr PIP's main gifts tomorrow then all the Christmas things will be dun.
Also want to get the crackers returned and the vinted sale dropped off tomorrow but that might be pushing it as we're going out early evening and I want to prioritise the little piles of to-do things like receipts which are interfering with the minimal zen I have.
And as I've said, I really do not want to drag to-do tasks into the new year so need to have a solid day working on everything that's in the diary for tomorrow and from today at least.
But in reality my joints might be too bad from cleaning, so if only the necessaries get done then that is still progress of a type.

    All progress is progress.
Why do we beat ourselves up so much.
    Have a lovely time 🎄

Happy Christmas and be kind to yourself. Anything that doesnt get done probably isnt that important and you will survive.
  • Happy Christmas eve all.

    So far I have

Been awake from 4-6am having a recap of everything I've been worried, cross or even mildly passingly miffed about. So did not get the fresh and early start I was hoping for!

    Admin comping tidying

    Yougov survey

Finishing up bits that need to be eaten for brunch- mushrooms that looked rather sorry for themselves and some very dubious yoghurt

    Norstat survey

    Laundry

    Last of wrapping

Told the sellotape to p*** off, used a very terse voice to ask a towel that had fallen off the rack if there was something I could help it with, told the sellotape to f*** off, and asked the sellotape if it had ever thought about not being a t***.

    On with the list!
