  • Enforced doing nothing is the worst @Sun_Addict!

I have done some minor productivities of neatening and putting away wrapping paper that can be reused, entering some competitions (today I'm mostly looking forward to winning some handbags), and eating a slice of a lovely and large mince pie a family friend made for us. This is productive as it clears some space in the fridge 😁

    Back to the book now!
  • A handful of receipt surveys and shower/hairwash were the only other bits of productivity but glad to have got hairwash done as going over to stay at Mr PIP's tomo and don't want all the shoulder strain in one day.
Must buy a laptop to keep at his in the next week or so, it is really not helping my EDS regularly lugging one back and forth. If it's more expensive than the laptop pot contents from the premium bonds win I'll take the extra out of the PiP payment as it is relevant to my chronic pain condition. Keeping back the tenner to go wild in Harrods though obvs

Ooh what you could get for a tenner in Harrods 🤣 Carrier bag maybe 🤔
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

That's one of the things that the HT struggles with going to uni - having to take his laptop with him every day. It really hurts his shoulders. That's as well as everything else that hurts which is most of him. A laptop for MrPIP's home sounds like a really good idea.
  • I am the opposite, it's hard to get up and out. I've found that if I go out for a walk I end up waking up at 2am.
I used to have a lenovo yogabook which is incredibly light, weighs about the same as a book but has a keyboard
  • I don't think the tenner would even cover that once it's paid for the tube fare to Harrods and back @Sun_Addict 😂

I very much feel HT's pain @CRANKY40, poor wee thing. Is there a lighter something he could get with his PiP money, or could he ask if the uni has any accessibility grants that could be put toward getting a bit of easier tech? Or are there even any arrangements that could be made where he could leave it/one there in term time so he doesn't have to carry it? Probably not as I know how hard it is getting any help in any form, but no harm in enquiring!

I'll look into that, thanks @WelshmansDaughter. Probably going to go for cheapest what with unknowable near future budget but will definitely put it on my list of useful recommendations for future if I don't go for it this time

I got a refurbished Dell laptop a few years ago on Amazon for £99.  Might be worth a look to see what they have at the moment.  Definitely much cheaper than a new one.
  • Thanks @joedenise, will have a price compare between there and Currys for refurbished

  • Not much to report, travelled to Mr PIP's during off peak hours for lower fares

Used up food that needed eating for brunch

Reading a book I may or may not see if ziffit accept

Really fancy a take-away pizza but can't really justify it so stay strong, especially as we have some from Lidl in the freezer at Mr PIPs

Went to Sainsers and got some good yellow sticker bargains including blueberries for 49p. I love berries but they are so expensive

Shoulder very sore so will attempt an earlyish night in the hope of feeling fresh and cheery for our Christmas day tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the 2am tapdancing old lady upstairs keeps it down!
  • I have to admit, I've been tempted by a shopping trolley this last year. I've been a lot more aware of carrying things
