What do people have in their showers to hold their toiletries?

We can't get a recessed wall bit. Our shower is wall (tiles) on three sides so if we had an over-door basket it would have to be rather long and I'd be concerned about scratches and stains on the glass even if I could find such a thing.

So I presume our option is to have a sucker attachment, but the ones I've seen look a bit naff and I don't trust they won't constantly be falling off.

Anything I'm overlooking, or indeed overthinking?

We have a hanging thing which hangs on the shower riser with a couple of small baskets in which to put shower gel, shampoo etc.

Oh brilliant point @joedenise I had completely overlooked that there would be that hanging point. Any brand or type that you would recommend?

I didn't find the one with suckers very good. The basket affair I have over the side of the shower has never scratched the glass & the type of glass it should be should never scratch anyway. You do not want to be falling in the shower & having the glass shattering over you.

You're much more lithe and stable than me @liselle 😁

That's good to know @badmemory, I'm probably unnecessarily stressing, it's just that we've spent so much money I would be gutted to quickly end up with scratches on the glass, especially when it's facing the room

Ooh interesting @beanielou, what surface material (i.e. smooth panels or ceramic tiles or glass or something else?) is it suckered to, and where did you get it?

I’ve got something similar to this. I can’t remember where I got mine from now. I thought Argos but it’s not showing. It works really well and holds everything I need

    Thanks muchly @southern_chick and @in_need_of_direction

We have smooth panels in one and textured tiles in the other so looks like we'll need two different things
