An in-between phase

Thanks @KajiKita, it doesn't help that no matter how much I try to train myself for invigilating days, I will never be a getting up at 6am person who isn't always like 'ugh, what is this' 😁
In rubbish news, the rent is going up over a hundred quid a month. Who on earth do they think has a spare £100 a month?
In quietly exciting though bit apprehensive of realness news, we have a front door on the build. And I actually like what we chose and it's come out reasonably close to what we chose!

Jeez. That’s a big rise. Do you have any idea of an entry date yet?

Every sympathy about your rent - my friend's rent doubled between Nov 21 & Nov 25. He doesn't say much but I suspect it has become a problem.

Thankfully you won’t be renting for too much longer … 🤞 But agree, what are you actually getting for the increase …? 🤷♀️
Invigilating days might get easier as the mornings get lighter perhaps?

Okay mea culpa, I added up two things that looked separate on their list so it's not as bad as I initially thought and we can absorb the cost without panic, though we could still rather do without spending the extra money, especially since they do b*gger all of the things they say they're charging for
One of my besties has said as our housewarming gift they're coming round and helping us paint the bedroom as she cannot be doing with it almost as much as I can't 😂 Would have been preferable to get it all done before we move in with all our furniture, but I'm willing to have a period of 'in process' to not pay the builders another extra £300
@beanielou we think we're aiming for end May/start June...
Ouch @badmemory. This country's housing market has no sense of decency, it's despicable that its so much of a worry to so many of us just to have shelter let alone a sense of home
Tried it before @KajiKita and nah, 6am is not acceptable in any light 😂
