That sounds exhausting, having to think about and strategize about how to do the very simplest things ...

Seconding the advice to tale a day off, rest and recuperate. Everything can wait ... Sending hugs x

Carpet walk as it is miserable out there, and I am sore and prone to grump

Trying to choose bathroom options and it is too overwhelming. There are too many websites and items in the world 😭 I just want one website that is guaranteed best price that you can select all the components from and that has nice designs, that will definitely all fit.
I don't know what type of shower tray I want, until now I have spent precisely zero hours, zero minutes and zero seconds of my several decades thinking about shower trays.
If I had not been told they need to be plumbed in I would have assumed we were talking about the little metal doodahs that your shampoo and conditioner sit in that you get for a few quid.

Anyway, guess whose evening job is looking at bathroom fittings!

Sorry to hear you’re feeling rough ☹️ Hope tomorrow is better for you.

I hated choosing bathroom fittings when we had our new bathroom. There was so much to choose from. I just wanted someone to narrow it down to two options for me. I hate too much choice.

When it came to choosing our bathroom refit I also had the overwhelm …
We had a local, non-chain, bathroom showroom locally to us that plumbers use a lot. They stocked everything from landlord basic to high spec (not gold taps but not cheap) and it meant I could plump for either the cheap or the middle of the price range options. I could see them and touch them in a really densely planned mock up showroom. It worked well for us. Might be worth trying to find something similar local to you?

Also, some of the parameters for things like the depth of the shower tray will be set by how much fall you’ve got for the waste and the size of the tray will be dictated by the space in the room. Both of those will be things you can get from your plumber.

The other thing I did was to eliminate all the options that I knew I didn’t like - the finish, the collar, the typical shape etc. Also, do a first pass and then go back to it after a night’s sleep - the back of your head will have been quietly working its way through the options and you will have much more clarity the following day 😊

    Thanks @Sun_Addict
It's particularly annoying as I was quite looking forward, in theory, to designing the bathrooms, but as you say there is just too much of everything

Cheers @KajiKita, we have decided on a website, chosen the shower trays (oh the excitement), and got a shortlist of shower/wall panels. Next up is looking at the flooring options so we can see what is available that will go with the walls shortlist

You’re doing well! 😊👏 Genuinely, for some reason the bathroom was by far the hardest element to settle in the choices for …

Hope you find flooring you like 😊

Tiles a big no.  splashwall, no grout to spend hours cleaning.  I can do the whole of my (small) bathroom in minutes.  Inside the shower is grey & outside white.  When I have my kitchen done the tiles will be history in there too.

When we finish deciding on the bathroom we then have to do the ensuite and the downstairs loo @KajiKita 😭😂

I love the look of tiles but not the cleaning @badmemory so we're going for panels for shower two inner walls and large tile effect but not actually tiles for the rest of the bathroom wall.
Can't find quite the thing for the floor so will need to park it tonight and do research on other sites tomorrow.
Then choose the shower surround, the shower, the loo, the flush, the sink, the taps, the ceiling, the light fitting *falls into a bathroom stupor*
