    Thanks all x

    Today's doings:

    Half wussy situps
    Usuals

Small payouts from surveys, little client job, cashback, vinted so shares to tax, current, Christmas, flat pots

    Shower and hairwash
Popped over to mums to lend her my spare laptop

    25 minute walk getting essentials
    Found 56p

    Couple of surveys
    Receipt survey
    Bit more dusting

Called to chase appointment for stopc*ck dispute, apparently it's in two days and they just hadn't bothered to tell us. At least hopefully there'll be progress

Was very mature and didn't snarl too much at brokers

    Prepped a lentil lasagne

Won 10p. It all adds up!

    10 minute carpet walk
Cashed out a ziffit/world of books trade

Knackered now but got more tasks on the list so will see if I can do some more productivity. I suspect however that it may be time to sit on the sofa with a glass of summat, longing for lasagne time 😁🥂

Hope everyone's week has got off to a decent start, and that no-one is horribly affected by the grim weather

I’ve missed something here … 🤔 Stopcock dispute?

Well done on the maturity in dealing with the brokers! 😊😉

Sounds rather more exciting than it actually is @KajiKita!
We wanted Thames to fit a smart meter as there is no way we're using as much water as their estimated bills are.
So Thames came out but said the stopcock (ooh we are allowed to say stopcock!) needed replacing.
So we had to call and wait for and wait in for appt for contractor to do that. It was a four hour job once the poor chap got here!
Then Thames came out again but said they still couldn't fit a meter as apparently the stopcock was faulty.
So we contacted contractor again and they said there's no way it's faulty, here is the full report of all the work done, a fortnight ago, we are not coming out again.
So we contacted Thames and said if you don't want to fit a meter can you give us the option of having our bills assessed on realistic use, as they're supposed to do if they can't fit a meter.
They refused as they said it was definitely our stopcock.
So now after weeks and weeks of wrangling and chasing, contractor is coming back out to see if there is an actual fault.
I think this wins the most boring post of the year.

You would think TW would get tired of screwing their customers over. Apparently not.
Sofa and a glass of something sounds like a plan...

Things might work a bit better if Tomorrow's World took over Thames Water @badmemory!

Yeaaah so tried to go to sleep from 10.30pm to 2.30am, couldn't as mind kept massively stressing and thinking all the bad things, had a bit of a meltdown and decided to just get up

Usuals, and sulking and skulking and feeling bad

    Managed to sleep between 5-9am

    Got up for contractor appt.
Apparently the stopcock is both in perfect working order and simultaneously completely unable to turn the water off. Chap is mystified and says if we want a water meter then housing association will have to pay for entire building to be re-piped. That is quite clearly not going to happen

    Lots of build admin.
Broker tried to put us off asking lenders valuer to reassess their paperwork by saying they couldn't say how long the delay to the process would be.
Told them we weren't paying extra money to have a valuation that doesn't even pertain to our property. They can wait for their arrangement fee for when they've actually arranged a competent professional.

    Lots more build admin.
Too boring to go into but at least two different parties we're paying have been utter idiots. Lots and lots of going through old random impenetrable documents to try to get an idea of the reality and summarise it for others

Entered some competitions. Today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 1k please

    Survey

    Big clean of bathroom

    Half wussy situps

    15 minute carpet walk

20 minute walk with Mr PIP for camra discount beer, and used a sainsers voucher from surveys on a reduced bottle of decent wine to get it for 75p.

Did a couple of listings whilst at pub while Mr PIP was doing work, I'm feeling inspired by our team challenge to see what listings we can get done tomorrow between 11am-12 with @rachmach3 and @wanna_bee_free
If anyone else has listings they've been putting off and you're free then, do join in!

Leftover lasagne for dinner, thank you past me

Looking forward to hopefully a good night's sleep!
