An in-between phase

@PennysIntoPounds - So sorry to hear your sad news. Unbelievably, you are the third person in the last 2 or 3 months I've heard about to whom this has happened. One was Mr F's ex-brother-in-law with whom we had both stayed in touch & would have liked to attend his funeral. Even his ex wasn't told & they had a very amicable divorce. She actually only found out when she bumped into a mutual friend in a shop! Obviously your ex-partner was far too young to lose his life. So many lives taken this way & far too soon. What an upsetting thing to happen. I can absolutely understand you feeling knocked for six.

That is terrible. Sorry to hear your news. It puts everything into perspective when these things happen.

PiP. You must feel like you’ve been picked up by a hurricane, shaken to the bone and then dumped on the ground in a heap. Poor you. And everyone else involved in this mishmash of events.Thinking of you and sending huggy warm vibes. X1

Thank you @doingitanyway, I really appreciate it.
And thank you everyone for your kind messages.
Just slowly putting the larger pieces of my broken heart back so I can at least deal with the other necessary very stressy life things like all the build stuff which I was very near burnout with anyway. The smaller broken heart pieces will take longer and won't be assembled quite as before, but I hope I'll be able to kintsugi them over time.
Still keeping the mse faith, we did a flat swap with family friends (I have now loudly and snottily cried in several new locations) and used vouchers from surveys where we could for food and got cheap train tickets.
Life-exhausted at the moment though. Seems like every time I have to get to grips with a loved ones death another one happens, and this one really, really, really hurts. We were in our own little club of being each others ex husband and wife and I was so proud of how we still loved each other in a unique trusting dependable way without it being weird, and now it's a really sh*t club with just me in ithttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Grief tears such holes in our hearts. Takes longer than we think to repair too.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Having a miserable and knackered and cross day.
Have managed:
Receipt survey
Usuals
25 minute walk dropping off a vinted sale
Only sounding slightly instead of incredibly p*ssed off at the brokers. They've said we have a mortgage offer dependent on us being able to show we have warranty cover to match the lenders valuation of warranty requirement, which is over 150k more than the warranty cover we have. Which was valued and provided by the brokers. Which rather begs the question 'well what do you expect us to do about it?'
