An in-between phase

Champagne and fromage sounds excellent. I tend to end up with Prosecco and quavers which isn’t the same vibe at all 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Prosecco and crisps was mostly how I put the weight on to be honest. The last drinks I had (dry since March!) included some yellow label veuve clicquot champagne which was very nice indeed. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

What a funny old day weather-wise, absolutely torrential rain for most of it but still somehow managing to remain really close. The promised storms to clear the air haven't arrived
Anyhoo, a surprisingly productive Saturday;
Usuals
Quarter wussy situps
Half an hour carpet walk
Finished a book, David Mamet Oleanna. Okay it's a play and a short one but I still read it!
Vinted listing having tried my new steamer I bought with birthday money (still getting used to it so report pending)
Some more listings I've been meaning to do for ages
Mr PIP collected our lottery winnings of £2.80 so transferred that to the flat pot- not as simple a process as it seems as two of my banking apps refuse to acknowledge each other's existence, so if I have cash that I want in the flat pot, I have to take that amount from my monthly budget, send that amount from current account app to main bank app then transfer it to the savings pots app
Got a sample of Gucci Flora perfume in the post which is annoyingly gorgeous
Got a couple of bags together for charity shop from pile of bits that haven't sold so feel a bit less cluttered
20 minute carpet walk
Finished a book, The Cosmic Ordering Service. It's not for me but good luck to the author
Staying in this evening (purse says 'finally!') and Mr PIP has used a voucher to treat us to M&S dinnerhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Usuals
Shower and hairwash
Laundry
Got info for Mr PIP to email Octopus about our gas smart meter not working and us not being able to submit readings. Absolute state of that company, can't wait to never have them in my life again
Pennies earned on surveys but it all adds up!
Steps to local with Mr PIP for some Sunday beer (with camra discount) and dominoes time, with financial planning. Weirdly we've not won the lottery yet again but I expect the universe doesn't want to spoil the surprise for when we win the maximum on the reserve lottery ticket and the premium bonds next month
We've run out of little containers so Mr PIP is having leftover pizza for dinner, and I'm having mash and parsnips out of the freezer, with a tomato jus (okay, aldi ketchup)
Looking forward to an early night, my body is tired from washing. Started limping a bit on way back so healing sleep gladly accepted
Hope everyone is having a super Sunday, and if you're not, sort that out straight away! 🍻https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Not much done today as chronic pain condition having a bit of an iffy day.
Usuals
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a Tuscan hamper (and cash)
Receipt survey
Had to cancel going to an exhibition with my friend which is a bit rubbish but neither public transport or putting my unstable body near priceless art seemed a good idea
Ten minute carpet walk
Did a lot of mind numbing research on pensions to answer why one of the invigilators said we might not get full state pension. All fine. I hope.
Steps to local with Mr PIP to do summat nice.
Got a missed call from mortgage provider our application is with. I hate phone calls but thought I'd better call them back even though it was odd they hadn't only or also called Mr PIP, or enquired through the portal.
The cheeky b*ggers were calling me to ask why I get PiP! They'd asked once on the portal saying it was in case I needed additional support from them, I replied and said I don't.
They then asked again on the portal without the pretence it was for my benefit and our mortgage broker stepped in and said this is inappropriate (we have not in any way put the PiP money as evidence of our ability to make payments, they just saw it on the bank statements we had to provide).
This was a while ago so we thought they'd realised it was probably illegal, then they called me today, circumventing our broker, and did the same thing, went 'we need to make sure we're safeguarding you and offer you support'.
I said I don't need any.
They asked if they could keep this irrelevant financial information on file.
I said no.
They then again gave up pretence it was for my benefit and asked if I would just tell them.
I said no!
Though me and Mr PIP keep being very tempted that I say 'leg disabled' and hope they're fans of The IT Crowd
The reclaiming of containers from the freezer continues, for dinner Mr PIP is having the last portion of pasta bake and I'm having pasta tapas made up of all the last two or three bites of various pasta meals I haven't wanted to wastehttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
