Got octopus compensation, emailed them thanking them for paying it and telling them to delete my data associated with that flat now, they replied and said they have to keep records 🤣 I was so tempted to respond that none of this would ever have occurred if they kept their effing records as everyone apart from them has a record of them being told to close the account over two years ago.
They did however reassuringly confirm that I'm not associated with any accounts held with them.
I am literally a named bill payer on both the Octopus gas and electric accounts for the property I live in.
Never ever going anywhere near them again.
Also got invigilator pay so shares of Octotw*ts and pay money to current account, flat pot and Christmas pot
Finished a book, The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner. Wasn't sure about it for a while but ended up rather enjoying it
Spec work
Evidence of m.o.u.s.e activity 😭
It's in the last month (I know because it gnawed through a receipt I was keeping for a competition, the little sh*t, doesn't it know that receipt is potentially important 😂) but hopefully not since skirting board was put in kitchen behind fridge so I am just fully assuming the problem has been dealt with and am not stressing myself with it 🤞🤞🤞
Steps to and from invigilator drinks, so pleased I work with a nice bunch, though no more work till October!2 -
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 for mouse limitation control …
👏 for the octopods … 😊

Thank you @KajiKita @doingitanyway @beanielou @Sun_Addict
KK, nearly caught up with you! Will have to make an effort with the books I only read for carpet walks and gain on you 😁
He's so good isn't he DIA
We had a lovely evening being people who go out in that London, went for beer at The Bear in Paddington, thank you @EssexHebridean for highlighting it for me previously, Mr PIP had been there before and was very happy to be taken again.
Then we went to a place I'd heard about which I think @redofromstart will approve of, the Cheese Barge. It is a moored barge on the canal that serves cheeses for dinner 😍
Then a night cap near there at a horribly expensive but very interesting place that sells over 100 wines and has outdoor seating, and is a diy pay and serve system. I have never involved myself with such a thing before so it was both pleasant and an education!
Very, very glad I saved for months beforehand 😁🥂7 -
Your evening sounds spendy, but good spendy.
The Cheese Barge sounds great. What a concept...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

oh my, that all sounds rather lovely but especially the Cheese Barge. I might just have to visit the fridge for a small slice of Lancashire to keep me going (Tasty Garstang from MrM).My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
