So relieved they cancelled it @ladyholly, I like warm weather but 33 degrees is a bit much especially in London where the heat always feels really heavy and tightly packed. Lord knows what the temperature would have been in that sports hall!1

Ugh to the building incompetence… 😢
Thank goodness for the exam postponement.

June round-up and July aims
Managed to get (I hope) enough money in the pot for Mr PIP's July birthday including taking him out for dinner and drinks
Used survey giftcards to pay for most of his gifts I've got so far and hopefully will be able to do the same for most of the remaining bits.
Have added to flat pot, it's still very stressy as no amount of surveys and sales are going to cover the money we're constantly having to pay, with no build mortgage in sight. But it all adds up!
I'm aware there will be no more invigilating for a good while in a couple of weeks so grateful to myself for not frittering that money as a 'bonus'
Need to make an effort to be a bit healthier but only because I've been thoroughly enjoying myself and intend to do so for the remaining social plans and summer!
But more conscious decisions and prioritising what exercise my body can do, and batch cooking from scratch more often, will be grand.
Build-wise, I have been on it, efficient, helpful, and civil and occasionally pleasant in the face of a parade of idiocy and entitlement. I will continue trying to be this much better version of myself to help get this done 😁
Overall aims are:
Make sure Mr PIP has a lovely birthday
Be a tad healthier
Be excellent at invigilating
Persevere with build and flat maintenance
Get money in current account and flat pot
Look out for bargains and freebies for two best friends birthdays later in the year4 -
Some great aims there. I love the fresh start vibes of a new month.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Cheers @Sun_Addict and @doingitanyway
Happy birthday month @EssexHebridean! 🍻
We're being surprisingly chill about the expensive paperwork, there are various parties we could blame but we're frankly used to everyone being sh*t now so it can just get in line with all the other bills we can't pay and delays we'll have to manage somehow!2 -
Not in a heat trap sports hall 🥳

Half wussy situps

Half hour carpet walk in front of a fan
Rechecked some rejected ziffits, couple more accepted. Emailed them earlier as they said there were items missing from my last box which there bloody well weren't!
I was a very fortunate birthday Pip and got gifted some champagne, so mum is coming round to sit in the garden and drink it with us. Happy July everyone! 🥂3 -
