Gallivant now @doingitanyway, don't put it off! (Especially until January, the most ungallivanty month of the year)2

You are so right. There is a finite amount of gallivanting time. I will begin in the morning...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Happy Sunday campers! Feeling a bit overwhelmed with how much there is to do today and this week and in general (especially in 33 degree heat this week!) but I am adopting a 'Can do' attitude and aiming to absolutely smash it.
Have done half wussy situps before it got too hot and had a small walk, admittedly to buy unnutritious brunch but steps are steps!
Hope everyone has a marvellous one ☀️4 -
Saw mum for a cuppa, took her recycling down as her neighbour is away, printed an official letter
Small walk dropping off a vinted sale and getting mum milk
Small clean of next door as they're away and have mice
30 minute walk getting a family friend to witness signing of a build form for land registry
20 minute walk taking some cuttings to a pub pal who's just moved house, rude not to have a couple of (camra discount) beers while there
Think we're going to have to pay sainsers local prices for dinner which is a little annoying but we can only face cheese and salad in this heat!3 -
If you're struggling with the sun/heat feel free to send a bit of it to my valley. I'd very much like to spend the day sorting the garden tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

If you need any more after @ladyholly has wafted her weather towards you, you can very much have some of mine @rachmac3. I am doing double invigilating on Tues. In 33 degree heat. In a sun trap greenhouse sports hall. With hundreds of people in it. Pray for Pip 😂2

Goog grief PIP. I hope they allow you and the students to have drinks to hand. When I did my GCEs many moons ago they were testing sonic booms prior to Concorde having its first flight.0

Surely they should postpone exams in those conditions?!

Hmm. That’s an interesting thought. 🤔 Under what conditions would they think about cancelling exams?Perhaps nothing short of alien invasion (imagine little green men or those already residing on the planet if you wish) since the whole covid exam fiasco whatnot.I do think that PiP (the person) needs a PiPP (Personal Intervention PiP Plan) should it all get too much. Perhaps a small cool bag with chilled winey/beery/softie drinks, an ice pack and a head band like John McEnroe’s to catch the PiP Drips on the forehead.
Good luck 🍀1
