I'm loving the continual extension of the birthday celebrations! I've often had birthday months, it's nice to spread it all out. I hope you're enjoying every bit of it x

There's always the post-birthday month to celebrate too. And don't sell yourself short because you need to factor in that there are only 30 days in June even though one of them is the longest day.0

One of my friends and her daughter spun out their 60th and 40th birthday celebrations for a whole year!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Given the crammed state of the calendar it'll be going on into July @rachmac3, but I think a full birthday month comprising of the weeks on both sides is perfectly acceptable 😂🍻
Thank you for your wise words @Blackcats, I wouldn't want to accidentally mug myself of birthday niceness
Good for them @Sun_Addict, darn right!
I think I only let myself relax and give myself permission to enjoy life being nice when it's birthday or Christmas, and while one has to reign it in a bit the rest of the time for balance, health, and productivity, it does remind me that life is there to be enjoyed. Today I spent a lot of time reading and felt slightly guilty that I wasn't doing other things then remembered 'you are literally only doing the other things to try to achieve the sort of life where you can enjoy what you can actually do now today you daft mare!'4 -
Woke up horribly early for a weekend so have been cracking on with The Things all day;
Usuals
Weekly flat clean including all the hoovering
Laundry
Changed bedding
Half the rooms have had their big monthly clean
Initiated some survey cashouts
25 minute walk dropping off plastics recycling.
Aldi has a 4.99 reduced from 8.99 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc if anyone's interested
Receipt survey
Watered all the plants and windowboxes
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning lots of money please but I will also take 12 bottles of wine off their hands
Now I am going to sit on the sofa with my bargain wine!
Happy Sunny Saturday all 🥂3 -
Marlborough Sauvignon is my favourite - just saying fyi 😉0

Thanks for letting me know @Blackcats 😂🥂
It's actually a really interesting wine, I was uncertain at first as it doesn't have that punchy mouthfeel you would usually get with a decent Sauv B but then the usual juicy fruit tones come through but with a nice dryness that's much more like picpoul.
Will definitely be looking at the budget to see what supplies can be got in while it's on offer1 -
Sauvignon Blanc - meal in a glass - lovely 😋 I find the ones from Chile are the best.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Gallivanting is always an excellent idea. I need to do more gallivanting. In fact I will add it to my 2026 NY resolutions...
Enjoy your bargain wineIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
