You could try banging on the ceiling in return each time she starts being noisy perhaps? (I'm being quite bold responding here - last time I posted in sympathy about your noisy footsteps overhead with a clear and obvious joke, someone clearly took offence as I got the post removed with a warning!) we did that with our old upstairs lot from time to time but it was of limited use with our solid concrete construction - we had to bang so hard to actually stand a chance of it being heard we were worried we'd damage our own ceilings!
God work on use of co-op vouchers to acquire genuine bargains too - I scrutinise ours each week and do sometimes use the milk one when that pops up as their member price for a 4 pint bottle (which is what MrEH has)makes it the equivalent price to elsewhere I think. We like it best when we can team it up with the £1 off coupon too mind - now that IS a bargain!
Good for you on having a gentle nag of the plumber - that is a ludicrous amount to be spending on education no matter how determined you might be to do the best for your child. I'm firmly of the view that a bright child will find their way forwards unless a school is utterly dire!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Blimey @EssexHebridean, who knew there were people lurking on this little diary let alone fans of kids riding bikes in upstairs flats!
I don't think she'd hear intervention, though I did suggest putting a pair of stilettos on poles 😁1 -
Not a huge amount of mse-ing today but;
Housing Association got back to me late as per usual about my complaint about how long they'd taken, with the useful response of an irrelevant letter from a month ago. Have replied saying can they consider this complaint ongoing and maybe even get back to me within their own deadline they set
Usual admin and small bit of work, and have started to include in the competition entries items I don't particularly want or have space for but that can be sold for the flat pot
Got yoghurt (that I would've bought anyway) on discount through shopmium and got a primula squeezy cheese through shopmium too- I wouldn't have bought that usually but I've been intrigued by it's existence for years and am a big fan of cheese so for 50p I thought now was my opportunity to investigate...
Amongst the things my Dad's former partner gave me of his possessions was a bottle of patchouli oil and some sweet little bottles and stoppers. Asked in the local witchy shop if they'd be interested and they offered a hundred quid for the lot which seems reasonable for both parties. Will walk there later this week for the handover.
It always feels a bit odd and sad letting items that were my Dads go, but it's nice that they'll be used and have a new life, and £100 in the flat pot is a good achievement, and he'd be particularly pleased it went to a witchy shop

Wow that’s a good price for the bottles. I used to love the smell of patchouli oil years ago. I’m sure your dad would approve ❤️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Lots of patchouli.in our house. One of Mr F's favourite fragrances.

Watching the Covid inquiry seems to be my main activity this week but did do wussy situps and a 25 minute carpet walk whilst viewing
Tidying, admin, Coop receipt survey, Sainsers receipt survey, Yougov survey, Pbase survey
Looked at RightMove, lots of (still too expensive) flats *overlooking* gardens with the garden filter on. Great, let me spend every day with my sad little face pressed up against the window beholding the plusher lives of others like an orphan at christmas in a Dickens novel
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 1k though I'm also very attached to a firepit I have nowhere to use or in fact store. I blame @EssexHebridean and her marvellous cosy fire 😁
Bits and bobs of work including an actual client job, hooray
Did further research into how to mend the microchip cat feeder to no avail so have contacted the company, hope they'll be able to help as we really could do without spending over one of our hundredses on a new one
Inherited an iPad from my Dad's possessions and tried to work out if I could save a Word doc on laptop then open and work on it on iPad but apparently not.
Which is annoying as I really need something more lightweight to carry between Mum's and Mr PIPs or to leave one in one place as I'm having to write off (no pun intended) a day for my joints to recover every time I go between the flats. Really don't want to spend money I don't have on a programme or device or whatever it is that makes these modern thingumijiggies work
Any advice very welcome as I'm even less au fait with apple products than other tech
Btw the iPad was the last of the stuff my Dad's former partner handed over to me, this diary isn't going to turn into a morbid Twelve Days of Christmas
🎶On the 21st November, my dead Dad gave to me🎶

Sorry - you made me snort out loud with your 12 days of Christmas ....and now I feel bad ....but I've confessed so that might make it ok ?

You do make me laugh and I guess it’s your brilliant sense of humour that gets you through all the carp life throws at you 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Laugh away @Blackcats and @Sun_Addict, I do have a rather gallows humour so nice to know I'm in good company here!
It would be bloody typical if life threw carp at me, I'm vegetarian 😂2 -
Can you do the iPad to laptop thing if you save the document in OneDrive? If it's a Microsoft Word document? You'll probably need to download the Microsoft apps onto the iPad too if they're not already there. Hope this is helpful.1
