Boo to the housing association works at your mum’s and the clattering shoe woman at Mr PIP’s 😬 Fingers crossed for a decision from the council soon. Stay strong 💪I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks mate @Sun_Addict
I am definitely in a phase of not feeling strong and just tired and fed up with everything and like all my stupid little endeavours are even more futile than usual. Just feels like there's one thing after another to deal with and none of them for the good! I will try to stay strong 💪 *dislocates shoulder* 😁0 -
PennysIntoPounds said:Thanks for the emphatic understanding @EssexHebridean 😁 I feel really bad grumping at an old lady but we need to sleep, it's a human requirement! She is completely compos mentis btw, and tried to throw us under the bus to ourselves, she was like 'well it must be downstairs making the noise' and I said 'We ARE downstairs!' Not walking on my own bloody ceiling in hard soled footwear in the middle of the night am I. And she swore at me, and I didn't once swear even conversationally at her, even though I was very sleep deprived and am a very sweary person! Still feel like a b!!ch though, much as I like a rant I am really not someone who gets off on drama or being mean. But I need to sleeeeep 😭

Well my plans for several small walks to make up for period inactivity were scuppered when the skies looked like dusk late morning then proceeded to chuck down torrential rain for hours
I am feeling quite low and stressed about the whole housing situation but trying to claw my way back to my usual state of cynical but secretly hopeful
Did the usual admin and household bits
Small bit of work
Made a point of eating some extra fruit and veg
Did a few surveys
Relisted a couple of items on Olio
Another item on vinted
Batch of COAs
Wussy situps
Helping mum where I could with general clearing and rearranging in advance of the housing association works
Then got at least a small walk as mum said that since she was making dinner I could go to the shop and get her some wine 😁
Fairly knackered now so am going to relax with a glass of autumnal red then see if I can get a bit more work done whilst awaiting my bargain beer and wine delivery
Be careful out there everyone, especially in the dark; the trees are doing a huge amount of leaf shedding and with all the wet weather it is sliptastic. Very sensible shoes only!

Have you considered some "insulation" for the ceiling - like putting a quilt up there or making a tent over your bed area. Something that might lessen the sound?0

Thanks @weenancyinAmerica, we wouldn't be able to attach anything to the ceiling as not our property but I'll have a further think1

Oh ouch, housing association big works start at mums tomorrow so we've been doing big moving everything out of the kitchen. Who knew a relatively small kitchen could hold so much stuff 😭 My back and shoulders are crying, there are boxes everywhere, the living room is full of boxes of food and the microwave, but me and mum are still speaking to each other which is the main thing 😁
Managed to get in some admin, small bit of work, shower, competitions- today I should be mostly looking forward to winning a 1k Amazon voucher but I've actually got my heart set most on some nice socks 😂 Had a lunchtime walk round the block and got the free lucky dip lottery ticket we won, my gosh wouldn't it be wonderful to win enough to buy a flat today
Right, once more unto the kitchen clearance dear friends. Pray for your pal PIP's joints (and lottery win!)

I’ve had a good catch up on all your latest doings.Neighbours can be an absolute ars* ache. Unless you live in a splendidly well made Victorian mansion flat the general building materials are cardboard, glue and a couple of staples. Maybe landlords should include a rule about socks only indoors, though given the current state of laws around rentals they’d probably be able to evict you for window shopping slippers!Very admiring of all you achieve with your poorly joints and fatigue. My friend has ME, joint problems, labyrinthitis amongst other issues. Some days she can barely brush her hair. I think you do fabulously well and I applaud all your efforts.I’m looking forward to hearing about the pair of socks you’re bound to win. 🧦🧦🧦🧦2

Thanks @Slowdown I appreciate that. Sorry to hear your friend struggles too
I think they're actually mens socks but I'll still have them 😁1
