You can ask for a local anaesthetic @ladyholly but it's not automatic and as it would turn it into a much longer procedure I thought I'd brave it!

Did my tax return. HMRC are trying to give me money. I am so confused. This has happened before and turned out to be accurate so I am not chasing them again for hours and hours and hours to get clarity, they can ask for it back if they want to, I know I put the correct info in!
Dinner is cheesy potatoes with baked vine tomatoes and has been prepped by Mr PIP 😊

Thanks @doingitanyway, much improved today- occasional minor twinges but no need for painkillers.
Book was well written and I'd be interested in reading more of his, I enjoyed it when I was reading it but wasn't desperate to get back to it when I wasn't. I could've done with it being more clear who was speaking or about who we were following when, but tbh I don't think it was the author's fault that I usually read in the evenings when I'm brain-tired! I vibed with his bringing in different cultural aspects and it had lots of important perspective points that I empathised with and was glad to have read.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Realised I haven't done April Aims:
-Try to make money
-Don't let the ongoing gobsmacking incompetencies of literally all aspects of build grind me down into hopelessness
-Something or other about being healthier and doing some exercise and cooking and that sort of whatnot

This is all very sensible but I don’t see anything potentially joy inducing?PennysIntoPounds said:Realised I haven't done April Aims:

We finished watching Towards Zero on iPlayer, would very much recommend. Three episodes of about an hour each, based on Agatha Christie book and great cast, scenery and period settinghttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Well done. It's so easy to get caught up in the 'shoulds' and forget the bits that nurture us ... well it is for me!PennysIntoPounds said:Good reminder @KajiKita

Does it remain true to the book though? I am still muttering about The Pale Horse, which was great if you hadn't read the book.PennysIntoPounds said:
