I think doctors are being very cautious so that they manage expectations. It is 2 years now since I saw the GP about my hip & I had seen the consultant & had the op in half the time the doctor thought it would take to get the first appt with the consultant. Within 5 months of the GP appt I was back driving again. Good luck with the polyp & I hope the "oscopy" is too unpleasant.0
