What did pest control say?Love it when I find a shower gel that doubles as a scent - it’s like daily aromatherapy 😊

🤞 @doingitanyway, it's the second time they've come out for the same issue so we'll see!
Would be lovely if this product is good, I look terrible with gelled hair but my random flufffrizz hair needs some assistance. At least I'll smell nice!
@KajiKita they said all the flats in this area are so old and badly maintained/updated by housing association that they get a ton of callouts here, and that they'll see us in two weeks when they come back to check. I reckon it's because the flats the next street over are getting the roofs worked on, so all the mice that were living peacefully there have had to scarper.

Yes, I also think the disturbance will be the cause for mouse relocation. We've had quite regular mouse incursions over the 20+ years we've been here, but I think it was no coincidence that the first multi-mouse occasion was when our previous neighbour demolished his shed. We think they were almost certainly living underneath & as it was getting colder, they simply relocated to a new warm space - our kitchen cupboard!
Typing this has reminded me of when I was a little girl - about 4 - my Nana told me there were rats under Grandad's shed. I thought this tremendously exciting & when we were staying there one summer, I took a little stool out into the garden & sat down to watch for them. I remember being very disappointed not to see a single one!
Hope your mouse problem is now nearing a conclusion.

Happy April all, and if anyone would like to join us on our getting things done thread for this month do come on over
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6598522/spring-in-our-step/p1?new=1
Day started with responding professionally yet firmly to our surveyor and not swearing (in the emails, there was a LOT of swearing in reality!)
Big clean of kitchen before family friend came to stay
Replied to more build related emails and messages
Bits of admin throughout the day, entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 2k
Small walk taking in ID etc for invigilator role
30 minute walk getting essentials and dropping cuttings off to mum
15 minute walk dropping off a sale, instead of leaving it till I had more time and worrying about it until then
Walk to local with Mr PIP so I can actually focus on some spec work, though we got here and found out a pal has been frogmarched out of her corporate job today that she's been doing for 15 years, so sympathetic ear may have to be prioritised!
Dinner is pasta with cupboard sauce, may abundances rain upon it

All the little walks add up!
Wow to the corporate friend situation...
Well done with the surveyor

Unless there is concrete evidence of wrong doing, corporate friend can’t be frogmarched out of her job. I hope she’s a member of a union? Sympathy as well as spine stiffening probably needed.Well done for getting the response to the surveyor finalised 👏 Hope it results in some action!KKAs at 15.07.25:

Well we are having A Day Off and celebrating our anniversary by finally using the spa voucher I won.
Mr PIP also has tomorrow booked off so we'll try to make that a gently productive and nice day.
Obviously my version of having A Day Off started with a third wussy situps, tiny bit of spec work, comping, replied to two important emails.
Won £150 on the PB, thank you Ernie xx
Fridgefreezer upended with help of family friend and wires seem fine, big phew!
Had a lovely time at spa, did some swimming and gym so expect I'll ache tomorrow but shame not to have a little go while you're there.
Having a couple of beers in our favourite hidden gem pub, in the sun.
Then dinner at an Italian which I am very much looking forward to, I've been promised aubergine parmigiana 😊
Hope everyone is having an excellent mid-week 🍻
