Congrats on the PBS - so pleased for you.

I have had some Eliz4beth Ard4n Eight Hour Intensive Lip Repair Balm arrive today, I partly blame you for this with your talk of desirable lip balms which set me off reading reviews. Tired of dry lips though so I hope it is good.

Same @Sallyforth, Mr PIP got £75 and will be dividing it between flat pot and his dental pot, an annoying but necessary recent pot as dentist told him he'll need about 1k in 1-2 years. Our teeth have no respect for our flat pot needs!

Ooh that sounds lovely @redofromstart, do report back please

Delighted with the £25 @beanielou, I was only put out about my 6p 😂

Ernie has certainly got the memo about helping the flat pot.  He never gives me anything - just saying, not criticising you Ernie cos I know you are probably saving up a mega big win for PIP and me.

Just catching up. Well done on the fabulous pb win. I’m very impressed as I was on Ernie’s black list this month.

    Lovely PB Win Wahoo!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Survey
A third wussy situps. This was not wise

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 1k

Ten minute walk, knee said no more
    Spec work

Got bank compo, will share that between the usual pots

5.16 survey cashout, share to tax pot 😭

Dinner is pasta and cupboard sauce, may blessings rain down upon it

    Usuals, couple of surveys

Finished another book last night, Longitude by Dava Sobel, not the sort of thing I'd usually read but enjoyed it. We started it last year but had to have a break as I was getting too annoyed at those in authority being outrageous a*ses- this is set in the 1700s, some things never change 😂

Avoided unnecessary spends as I was thinking of going to b*ots to check out their sale but realised I don't actually have any gift set needs or people in mind they'd suit as presents, so no point parting with cash in the hope of retrospectively making the purchases worthwhile!

Some toiletry essentials bought from sdrug with deals and points and TCB, 40 minute walk collecting them

Got a full size product in the post to test, a Guerlain eye serum, a very nice freebie

Did some ironing which was a shock to both me and the items ironed

Walk and beer with Mr PIP, did a couple of tedious listings

Dinner is freezer pizza. With extra stilton. Yes I know I said this month I was going to try to do more wholesome batch cooking. It's still the first week of February, stop picking on me 😁

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
